Should I start Premier/FaceIt?

My understanding of FaceIt is that it's just another layer of protection against cheaters.
BUT apparently it's more to do with higher skilled players, not just to protect from cheats?

My understanding of Premier is that it's more old school CS ranking and the main mode to play?

I want to go to premier because it seems the 'place to be' for the cool kids? I also wanted to join FaceIt just to give my profile more security, but I'm not skilled enough for FaceIt apparently? And maybe not skilled enough for Premier because that's more serious business than competitive?

I'm just really confused where to play at the moment if anyone can chime in, please. Though I'm just happy playing and happy to stay on competitive, just don't want to waste time if I should go to premier.

never played facit but i dont feel the need to. I havent seen a convincing cheater in ages.

i think that facit is the way to go if your in the pro-scene as they rank better and apperently have less cheaters. I heard premier has cheaters if you go past the 15k

I can't imagine there's much difference though, besides what the "cool kids" are playing.

I'm happy doing competitive, just wondering if I should spend time on premier instead. Not tried yet because too intimidated lol

Well faceit does tend to have a higher skill ceiling. So premier might be better for you. Whats intimidating about it for you?
