Competitive league play
Does anyone from CS 1.6 and CS Source days remember the time when we had competitive leagues like CAL, XPL, CEVO, etc? And there was actually a lot of clans/teams formed to participate in these leagues and used IRC to find scrims with other teams? I remember these days and found that when CAL pretty much shut down, the need to have teams sort of went along with it. To me, that was the best part of the game was growing in my skills and CS gameplay journey with people I'd form bonds and close friendships with over the years. CSGO came along with its own match making and kind of took this part of the game away. I miss it.

So I am making this post to ask the question...would anyone actually be interested in a league system that operates in a similar way as those OG leagues like CAL and CEVO did? I am willing to put in the work to develop and get something going if there would be any interest.

Yeah, there's faceit which functions more like the built in matchmaking of CSGO/CS2 and the pro events.
