The most likely component to break is the physical hardware -- perhaps you're making more extreme motions with the mouse than normal and are disrupting one of the 4 wires connecting it to your PC's USB.
Since mouse cords near the top of your mouse can fray and degrade, you may need to replace the mouse.
Try simulating your movements outside the game, or wiggling the attachment at the top of the mouse to confirm this.
Some other components that are easily swapped might be
- moving from Front USB ports on your PC to Rear USB ports (i.e., a different controller).
- removing all other USB devices from the PC, if possible (you could test by removing your headset if it's USB, it's possible to have conflict)
- ensuring that the tension on your mouse's cord doesn't change too much, I ping mine about 14" away on the same level of the desk, so it's never in the way or getting tugged too bad.
I would like to share an issue with the community and hopefully get advice or solutions from those with more experience.
Recently, I've started experiencing problems with the periodic disconnection of all USB ports when playing CS2. It's important to note that this issue doesn't occur in other games, even during extended gaming sessions.
I've performed the following checks:
Drivers are up to date.
BIOS is at the latest version.
PC configuration includes only essential devices (mouse and keyboard).
The operating system is freshly installed and free of viruses.
I believe this issue could be related to a specific update for CS2 or another aspect introduced recently. Until now, everything has been working perfectly, and the fact that there are no issues in other games suggests that this could be a specific problem.
I appreciate any advice or similar experiences and thank you in advance for your help.
Please list them if any.
No corsair peripherals
I had the same problem and since i put my ram speed from highet to auto it is fixed and the performance i lost is minimal i dont even notice
G905 Headset
G502 Hero Mouse
USB plugged into the same adapter as the headset also disconnects at the same time, but my Microphone and Secondary display also connected via discrete USB ports are not affected.
CS2 just really hates Logitech, and attacks anything related to it... for some reason?
Also it only seems to happen if its in Competitive. DM behaves normally. And its only CS2.
