Scam bot sent identical trade and stole my items.
I was trying to send my items to my friend but somehow there was instantly another identical trade from lvl 1 steam account with same name and missing 1 letter at the end and same avatar.
I noticed it and cancelled trade and was trying over and over. Thought may be its just a bug,
Anyway it the end I confirmed and a second later realized it wasn't my friend's account.

here is that account with about $150 worth of my items in cs 2 tab

I suspect it has to do with face it because couple scammers added me and said they wanted to play on face it and asked me to join "TICKLES PRIME CUP 5V5". Then they asked me to trade my friend. "to confirm my account"

here is screenshot of "proof" of "error" they were getting and asking me to do a trade with someone I know. So obviously they did something at this point that would automatically create a duplicate trade to another account.

So how does this bot work and how do I clean my account from it? Anyone got any info? I hope I explained the issue well.

PS: I guess steam doesn't return items for any reason so rip but how do I prevent it in the future.

You prevent it in the future by using your brain.

You probably should have messaged your friend to confirm that it was his steam account you were trading with.
Regardless, once you mark a trade as a 'gift' it's gone for good.

Please confirm that you are giving your items away, and expect nothing in return.

A little reading comprehension and critical thinking would stop a lot of these scams from happening.

Yep got it. Fake website authorization.
No need to be so negative. "Use your brain"
I was literally texting with my friend as I was doing this. As soon as he sent trade I accepted.
Didn't know this could even be possible like that but now I know.
This so sad
