All my settings are stored in these files:
cs2_machine_convars.vcfg
cs2_user_convars_0_slot0.vcfg
cs2_user_keys_0_slot0.vcfg
cs2_video.txt
so I have to put them in my new folder but I can't. There are too many settings that I don't remember to configure again on the new account.
How do they think I can copy hundreds of settings that I don't even remember the name of.
I want to have exactly the same type of values for volume, sounds, video and keyboard settings as my other account.
But how is it possible that Valve is not able to facilitate something like this ? I am shocked.
I try but I don't know if I can.
Do i need to copy all the settings from these files
cs2_machine_convars.vcfg
cs2_user_convars_0_slot0.vcfg
cs2_user_keys_0_slot0.vcfg
cs2_video.txt
in 1 single file and then add host_writeconfig ?
I wonder how it is possible that a company like Valve forgot to include the possibility of transferring settings from one account to another, it's truly depressing.

Does anyone know how I could merge everything into a traditional .cfg file?
For
cs2_machine_convars.vcfg and
cs2_user_convars_0_slot0.vcfg
you copy all the commands and values between the brackets so you go from this
to this
and paste it in a new randomname.cfg file in ...\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\game\csgo\cfg
For the cs2_user_keys_0_slot0.vcfg you do the same as above but use notepad or an online tool like https://pinetools.com/add-text-each-line to add bind at the beginning of each line so it looks like this
add that to your randomname.cfg and in-game just type exec randomname in your console
When it comes to the cs2_video.txt, again, copy-paste or you have to make those changes manually in-game.
The simplest method is to open such files with notepad, and copy-past the text to the new files. This ensures that all settings are identical to the previous account.
