Kills doesn't mean anything in competitive, xp goes from rounds you won.
Dude, looks like you don't understand what you're talking about. 2 levels per week is pretty easy cause of xp-boost. And you got xp reduced only after that 2 levels you got. 3rd be a bit longer thing to get, but if you just play this game regularly it's not a big deal.
And simple math says it's just about 3 levels that op need to farm with reduced xp for these seven weeks left that is more than possible.
https://counterstrike.fandom.com/wiki/Profile_Rank
I specificly said 2.5 is already extreme because after 11.1k xp you have no xp bonus, don't get the base xp AND get only 0.175 times the xp you'd normally get. This means after 2.5~ level you have to grind much, much more. You have to farm 990~ xp with reduced xp. You get like 7 xp per game per 10 minute with reduced xp. 141 matches (casual, dm, ...) a 10 minutes. To get to 11.1k xp already takes many, many hours. And then the real grind only starts. Every single week.
Do the math next time before you claim someone doesn't know what he is talking about.
It takes 10 hours per day~ to get 3 levels per week. Next tine stop blaming and start calculating.
Looks like it's you're the one who really bad at math.
Let's try it from the start. We just got weekly reset. First level you easily get by winning 4 competitive matches (1560xp for win with bonus) that are about 30 mins for now. That will give you a bit more, actually, but we live in a real world, so we don't win every single game we play. So, 4 competitive matches (or 5-6 if you're bad at game) give you first level up. It takes 2-3 hours of playing.
After we have a bit smaller bonus - 780xp per competitive win. 4-5 matches more until you reach 7.5k xp for week and bonus ends. That takes 2-3 hours more.
After that clean xp, 390xp for winning competitive game. 6-7 matches, but with losses lets double it, so 14 matches or about 7 hours and we finish 2nd level.
So it takes about 13-14 hours per week or 2 hours per day to get 2 levels for a week. Not so much, huh?
3rd is a longest one, about 50xp per match, so it's about 100 matches to win for a week, about 50 hours to waste, right. But op doesn't need it every week, only 3 extra levels with reduced xp for 7 weeks, so its about 3 more hours per day to get it.
In total we got 5 hours per day and this is regular thing for a lot of players here. If you're a kid who need this damn medal, it's definetely an easy thing, since it's still a game you like, not some hard work.
You need 5.000 xp per rank.
The fastest way in general is retake by far which can give you ~175 normal xp per game which takes 12 minutes on average.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2908449631
But for 175 xp you need 18~ kills which is very unlikely. 9 kills is much more realistic on average. We say 100 xp per 15 minutes to have a more straight calculation.
4.500 xp is 4x bonus = 300 xp per 15 minutes
3.000 xp is 2x bonus = 200 xp per 15 minutes
3.500 xp is normal xp = 100 xp per 15 minutes
After that (11.100 xp) you get 0.175 the xp = 17.5 xp per 15 minutes
For the 4.500 xp x4 you need 15 games. 15 games are 3.75 hours of gameplay.
For 3.000 xp x2 you need 15 games, that's another 3.75 hours of gameplay.
For the 3.500 x1 bonus you need 35 more games = 8.75 more hours
So when you farm efficiently it will take you 16.25 hours to gain 4.500+3.000+3.500 = 11.000 xp.
At this point you've made two level and 1/5 (1000/5000) for the third level.
To get the 4000 x0.175 xp he needs to play 229 more matches = 57 more hours.
In total that's more than 70 hours per week and that with the most efficient way which we don't currently have in CS2. You calculated 50 hours per week with matchmaking and were very generous with the xp someone gets, the time played etc.(you didn't calculate troubles like matches not beeing found, waiting time etc., I also didn't calculate that). We could say the middle and go with 60 hours per week
You're right. He only needs 17 level in 7 weeks. So he doesn't have to farm 3 level per week, 2.5 per week are enough.
But barely anyone plays that much. OP has 374 hours. He needs to play 16.25 (bonus/basic xp)+~20hours(half a level of reduced xp) per week roughly for 7 weeks = 250+ hours, that's basically the same gametime he has in total. He has 10 hours played in past 14 days currently. And he wrote his review on 30. august 2022 where he had 368 hours. That means he hasn't played CS in over a year and just started playing in the past days.
I doubt he will be good enough to get incredible stats in any game mode to carry and get a lot of XP and I doubt he will play hours after hours every day for weeks after not playing for over a year and just having few hours in total.
You say it's about 175xp per game at retake mode that is about 12 minutes on average. Matchmaking give you 390xp for game that is 30 minutes on average and it's not related to your kills, only rounds won, so i wouldn't say retake is a best way, these two are pretty similar for me. Plus, there's a chance to be carried or you can ask some friend to help or just play with you that is a common thing also since cs is a team game.
As for OP with his stats - yea, i don't think he'll spend so much time either. But 60-70 hours for last couple weeks is a pretty common numbers i see at other players profiles, so it's not really much for one who plays regularly and care about game and things like medals etc.
My point wasn't about this guy specifically, i was just triggered by word "impossible".
Sorry, if that was too mean for ya.
I never calculated the average xp people make with matchmaking because matchmaking always was one of the worst ways to gain xp. Yes personal performance doesn't matter there other than the "fun" game modes but at the same time you're forced to win as many rounds as possible and can't carry yourself most of the time unlike on other modes where it is all up to you.
Keep in mind that most who've 60-70 hours past 2 weeks are just idling hours. 60-70 hours played past 2 weeks is on a FPL (semi pro) level of playtime and they actually play the game the entire ingame time. He needs to do that aswell.
Yeah the "impossible" was my bad, not yours, don't worry. It isn't impossible technically, just very unlikely/hard to do, especially in OPs case based on his playtime/experience with the game.
Yea, you won't win every game, that's why i added more time for that case. Average player will have about 50% winrate, cause of good matchmaking system that will give him an equal enemies. And even at games you lose you still have some rounds won. And if you really need it, you will try harder, play premade etc. so percentage probably will be higher.
I reached 150-160 hours myself a few times and i really played all of that time, so i wouldn't say all that people are idling, some are plays all these hours for sure. 5 hours per day still looks like a thing for people who really like to play.
You missed some things. Calculations says you need about 5 hours per day.
itt: jokes
If you had a 50% winrate you needed like 30-35 matches to get 12.5k XP in a week in CSGO.
With the matches being mr12 and overall shorter now in CS2 you might think that's easily achievable but you're also getting less XP since you're winning fewer rounds.
You should probably aim for 40-45 matches every reset.
Assuming you're celebrating Christmas you might take some time off during those days and the last December reset from the 27th-31st only being 5 days long will require more play time during those days too.
