Multiple crashes CS2
It always works as follows for a short time everything works fine, then the game crashes all the time at the latest 3min after the respective restart (a total of 5 times in 12min). So I looked at the dumps and the analysis with windbg shows the following.

An access error (Access Violation, Exception Code c0000005) occurred, which was caused by a read access to a memory address that was not valid (Attempt to read from address 000000000000000b). This occurred in the module "nvgpucomp64.dll". The function "destroyFinalizer" within the module is specifically mentioned in the error message together with the offset (+0xc41129).

The error bucket info (NULL_CLASS_PTR_READ_c0000005_nvgpucomp64.dll!Unknown) shows that the read error is from a null class pointer.

PS: I have a RTX 4090 with the latest driver (31.0.15.5123)

I would be very happy about help how I could fix the whole thing

I'm with you on this @Mave, got i9-14900k with RTX 4090 since I got my new machine in January, CS2 has been nothing but an issue and completely inconsistent, the years I have been playing this game, never experienced this before on previous hardware

I crash everyday each time with the following:

Faulting application name: cs2.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x65df9a4a
Faulting module name: nvgpucomp64.dll, version: 31.0.15.5161, time stamp: 0x65cdec16

I have done the following with the OS:

Scanned the OS system with "SFC /SCANNOW" which found errors and fixed them
Restored OS health with "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth"
Uninstalled and reinstalled drivers
Installed latest Intel Chipset drivers
Ran hardware diagnostics on CPU and RAM which are passing
Ran stress test to the max on the RTX 4090 without any issue.

I then would find little things where the game would crash with my video settings on ultra everything, it would crash on "compiling shaders", so I set shaders from High to Low and now those do not compile and that part is fine, but then crash randomly in the middle of games. I'm so over it, I uninstalled it for now I was so upset in a game last night and it crashed on me in the last OT round

At the end of the day, CS2 is the ONLY game that happens on this beast of a machine, EVERY other game plays no problem. People talk about "disabling Hyperthreading", "Adjust CPU rates", etc.. DO NOT DO THAT, at this point over the almost 2 months dealing with this on CS2, it's an issue with the game and they need to fix their ♥♥♥♥.

Same here: INVALID POINTER READ c0000005 nvgpucomp64.dll!Unknown.

I tried to use win 11 Insider (Beta version of windows) and It helped a little, but that OS version is very unstable, and it was crashing other games or apps, or even the computer in idle, so I got back to the normal one.

Apparently this worked for me:

I know that is a cod error fix, but i've done it to cs2 also and worked.

Writing -vulkan in the start options helped for me.

Or start the Windows Power Shell as admin and enter these commands one after the other.

dir "$env:systemroot\system32\driverstore\filerepository\*NvCameraEnable.exe" -rec |% {& "$_" off}

dir "$env:programfiles\nvidia corporation\*NvCameraEnable.exe" -rec |% {& "$_" off}

Also fixed my crashes and the game also feels much smoother after i adjusted the CPU to 50

so the only fix is to underclock your CPU... intel is getting trashier by the day
