CS2 stuttering and freeze

Game worked fine since launch. 300+ FPS.
Hardware RTX 4080, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, SSD drive, 32 GB ram. oh Windows 10. All drivers especially graphics card up to date.

As of a day or so ago, when playing Comp ir premiere the game will be running fine then all of a sudden i’ll freeze up for a few seconds and the screen will stutter as it comes back. It won’t happen for a few rounds then it happens and starts to get worse. It’s especially bad while spectating othered. It doesn’t happen in death match at all.

I’ve messed with video setting but don’t think it should be a quality issue there since I was able to run on max settings since beta.

I deleted the directX folder, verified integrity, did the disc cleaner cache clear and restarted computer and reinstalled CS2. It’s definitely less frequent then before but is still happening a few times per game and a lot while speculating. Any ideas?

It was the same

I have a stable 400+ fps

Ryzen 7 5800X

RTX 3060TI

32 ram 4000 MHz

It helped me to completely reinstall Windows and now everything is working fine again

The game is not optimized as much as possible and every day people have new problems with it

edit: it was oculus mic probably, I disabled it and everything works fine.

Same problem here and i'm sure you are using a 240hz screen ... a guy who say he doesn't have problem use all the time 144hz.
The problem is the game cause i have only this feeling on CS2. On valorant i have 400fps and it's super SMOOTH.

The game is laggy, random, and made for noob now, it's sad af cause i can see all the time guys dealing HS during a run without straff now and it cause the game is now finished.

And imagine, this game is a ESPORT game ... L O L. I understand why s1mple stoped ^^

oh wow this might be it.. I plugged in my VR yesterday and have had the issue since then. Let me try

I wrote same post today - freeze, but i have 100FPS, run smooth and when i play, after bomb explode or won round - permafreeze. Uninstalled and installed again - same thing, after 20 minutes play on server xD
