cs2 serious freezing issue

i've been playing on an internet cafe pc to play cs2 for a few months now. even before before cs2 launch.
i have been encountering freezing issue on the game which leaves the pc unable to respond at all. i can't even alt tab because it will only just become black screen. that one is the turning point how this bug is becoming serious - as i have to restart the pc.

pc specs:
windows 10
gtx 1060
intel core i5 7th gen (forgot the series)
game is on hdd

How much memory? Is the hard drive activity light going off when the game freezes?

Bro u can find for 10e ssd.It happen somethimes to me also.Not so often but it happens.On many streamers live also happened.Prob. is overheating. or low memorry.CS2 EAT RAM M.

Hello, I have 16 GB of RAM and the game also freezes constantly. I can't finish a single deadmatch game, losing experience. Even in competitive games they have blocked me for days!!! a terrible steam failure

Then you should probably take it up with the owner of the Internet cafe.

It's also wise not to use those machines, you have no idea what kind of garbage someone could have left on those public computers.

it's a game issue when cs2 is literally having this problem. other games that i played on the internet cafe have no such issue.

even csgo have nothing like this issue.
complaining to the internet cafe staff solves nothing when its not their fault.
it is also unclear what is causing this problem.

i've tried -vulkan, the freezing issue disappears, but in return i get a game crash and returned to my desktop. though its still better as i don't have to restart my pc. the issue is i get half the fps than using dx11 (about 50-70fps). making the game a worser experience.

i've tried -allow_third_party_software. in the first days of cs2 official release, i cannot even launch the game. well until i tried this launch properties. later on, i made a discussion about this issue and now i no longer need to add that command on launch properties.

but still, it didn't stop the freezing issue.

i've tried -disable_d3d9ex too, it solves nothing..


the only thing that ease this problem is to launch the game on fullscreen and then change it into fullscreen windowed. this setting allows me to launch task manager if when the game crashed. if i was using fullscreen, i'd only get black screen when opening task manager when the game crashed.

are y'alls graphics driver up to date? the pc i'm using shows i wasn't using the latest nvidia driver. that could be the cause of the freezing/crash.

this is just my speculation, but if your drivers are up to date and still getting freezes, then this solution does not work.

i wanna test it myself later..
