Monitor problems.
Hello. When CS2 was released i could play it fine, but after changing my monitor settings from windowed fullscreen to (fullscreen 144hz) the monitor just keeps turning itself on and off. I have tried to change back the setting but even after i changed it back it keeps happening, CS2 is the only game that does this.. Help pls

After playing first time cs2 my second monitor stopped working entirely. I think this game breaks monitors

no, it's just that you are so stupid that you don't understand that the problem is in the computer and in the video card, it just probably dies and passes out from the load

the monitor cannot turn off and turn on from anything current from the video card that you have will die from the load and it is still possible that the power supply is dying and therefore the video card does not have enough power and it restarts or else the cable is damaged by the sdmi . in general, watch the video card and the block there is the cause of glitches
as soon as i started playing cs 2 my monitor started flickering, after 5 days my motherboard died while playing

the problem is the load from the game on the motherboard and video card and the problem is a weak hardware 10 years ago

I also saw someone on hltv who said his monitor was flickering as soon as he installed cs 2, then he did windows reset, it got fixed, he installed cs2 again and same issue.
I bought a new pc after my motherboard died, but my old pc should be able to handle cs2.
gtx 1060 6gb
16gb ram 3200mhz
ryzen 5 3600.
I was getting around 200 fps.
there's no excuse for the game killing my pc and monitor, other games don't do that

It's not but it's probly the only game you play with these issues. Tarkov fried my gpu from too heavy a load

Did you overclock your monitor for a example 120 hz to 144hz ,
do you have G-sync or freesync enabled in your monitors settings or your GPU settings if so try turning it off ,
if you can play on borderless or windowed mode just do that , and if your using a dual monitor set up make sure you have the correct monitor set as the primary in display settings .

i have the same issue. sometimes i play play on my 360hz 1080p and others i play on my 240hz 1440p. the game never knows which monitor im on and does all kinds of glitchy stuff. you would think after 25 years the devs would have figured this out. Let alone the 3 minute switching between both monitors and spazzing it does when i first boot in the game. It is %100 an issue with cs2. Maybe instead of trolling you guys could offer him a valuable solution.
hey super late here but go to your desktop, right click, go to display settings, and literally move one of your monitors on there up then back down and go back. worked for me and sounds literally stupid
The problem is fixed, i think something was wrong with my card. I have since changed computer. Thanks for the tip Blastoise but i only use one monitor.
