Pending funds for skin sold

So I had sold a skin on the market for about $10, but in my wallet it says $8.69 pending.

Never saw that before. Anyone knows what that means or why?

No idea, this has happened to me the last 4 items I've sold on market. For me it took 24-48 hours for the pending/hold to remove.

it happens sometimes. i had that with multiple transactions. googled the problem and some people got an email from steam claiming "that transaction was fishy, thats why we block it".
did you sell your item to the price someone had a buy order active? trying to figure out myself why this keeps happening

No, I just put it on the market, I upped the value due to the stickers. Normally it goes for a a buck or 2, but I listed at 10 in case someone might want it (and someone did).

I am not worried, but never had that happen.

I don't keep an inventory of items anymore as I don't play so much so I sold off all my expensive skins a not too long ago.

Pretty sure they implemented this change to combat money laundering or something like that. It can take up to 5 days for it to clear.

It's because some idiots lose their accounts and hijackers use Steam market as a way of transfering money, Steam takes money if it suspects your or the other person might've been hijacked. Usually it takes less than 2 days to clear

ya i see its not too long in pending mode. I can live with that.

steam put that in place right as cs2 released, it takes me 24 hours tops but its soo annoying

this is bs. The sale is approved so why does Steam tek 48hrs to give me my money, They are just as bad as those fake gambling sites, taking my skins and giving nothing in return
