you can play on 20 year old potato office laptop and it would not cause freeze or crash, it would maybe only run in 5fps, but it would NOT crash nor freeze ...
if game is freezing, it's due bad drivers, OS or faulty hardware (loose cable, bad PSU, bad CPU, bad GPU, bad overclocking settings ..etc). check in event viewer and see the error that pops up. it should give you a good idea where issue is.
but having weak PC or laptop doesn't cause crashes if there's no fault in it.

nvlddmkm was not found, doesnt react and was recovered...
Error occurred on GPUID: 100
tried everything to fix that, tried diffrent (older) driver for nvidia with fresh installs with DDU, have no overclockings, game is running smooth itself, checked ram and other hardware with no faults at all.
every other game, also CS:GO ran fine, with no crashes ever.
