Personal id would stop the cheaters 100% ..
end of the anticheat discussion because that would be 100% a full blown GAME OVER & a game changer for the better, if that was forced down on the Steam users, it would allso help secure their accounts even more, because the accounts would become just as personal as your own bank account then !
Though Valve would need to be less strict on banning people from the forums & games and stuff like that then!
Special when people ague & discuss about something here on steam or in the games !
We are just humans after all and the waves can go high sometimes
There are proof of concept cheats, that let you hijack the bios/efi to cheat.
There are cheats that already do that so you can cheat while streaming on twitch or whatever
Well alot of the players dont like that idea and if the majority is against it, then it will never happen !
What kind of ID verification?
Automatic like on Roblox? Cool I'll just send ID of Heavy from TF2
Manual verification? On Crypto sites it takes up to a week and they have 1/100th of CS2 users.
Also maybe you don't care about your privacy but I wouldn't drop my ID to some random people on the internet :)
Well, I already have my real address and phone linked to steam, might as well give them my id.
