but naturally screen tearing is bad which is why Gysync came out in 2013 . now its 2023...
give me the model of laptop.
do you have NVIDIA GPU or AMD?
you need to enable correct settings for gysync to work and ensure game has it enabled as well. then you need to do fullscreen in game .
also what is your refresh rate and fps you are doing?
also people here overstate the input lag issue, if you aren't pro level competitor you won't even notice it. people just love excuses for them not being bad
Rtx 4060 8gb
Amd r7
16gb ram
1tb ssd
1080p , 144hz , fps uncapped
Im always playing in fullscreen mode , usually gets around 110-130 fps , will drop to around 70 fps for a short time at some areas or when there's smoke/fire effects (vsync on, can't disable it due to screen tears)
Stuttering will happen often, until display compositor supports adaptive-sync working with borderless fullscreen windows.
