How to improve my hit reg?
I've been playing MM now for a while and I'm having a HORRIBLE time trying to hit things. I've got great internet with a great pc to push go at full settings. But my hit reg is just terrible! I can't hit anything in valve MM but when I play 128 tick, I'm dead on. Is there anything wrong with my config (posted below, netcodeilluminati) or anything I could add or tweak to make my reg better?

64 isn't ideal, but if you're seriously not hitting anything then it's likely you and not the server...

Can you tell me, why would you use snd_mixahead 0.5? It causes a delay in sound?

It seems so, but back in CS 1.6 33 tick was the default and 66 tick was great. It's still the same today and so much better than CS:GO's often criticized 64 tick hit registration. :csgogun:

I guess this is right, and you may try the following to compensate your bad hit reg.:

Try aiming at the outer border of the enemy's body in direction of where he is moving to, rather than aiming at the center of it.
This to compensate for the slight delay CS:GO's 64 tick seems to produce for aiming / hit registration, compared to CS:S and especially CS 1.6. :csgoct:

default is 0.1

default is 0.1 which implies a 10ms buffer for audio.

you can reduce it to 0.05 (5ms buffer) for -slightly- more responsive sound. going any lower than that may cause hitching/stuttering/etc.

i use 0.05 but 0.1 is fine tbh. don't use 0.5 though.

What about when you see yourself hitting guys and blood is splattering everywhere and it says you didn't hit him at all?

lem+ so hard to play, got like 3k hours in the game, rape on 128 tick, mm just sucks, that last hit never reg, mm is fun, just sucks ass with 64 tick, i wonder y all the pros play esea, and pretty much never play mm.

Hit reg is terrible yeah, but somehow the other team is always magically hitting most of their shots... Has anyone had delay? I assume you've all had a death where your character was pulled back to its old position.. That happens in like 70% of my matches. Anyone had that issue? :S

ive got 3 accounts on almost 1k hours each n i dont understand why cos ever since i started playing this game, i tap someone in the back of the head while crouched and we are both standing still. i tap till they notice the bullets are landing directly infront of them and worse its been is a count of 15 bullets.... this game every year pisses me off making maps ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and making diff spray patterns for guns and even just putting less skill into each gun (helping silvers) but havnt once helped the biggest and worst issue with this game. wonder why its dying.
