Counter-Strike 2

Counter-Strike 2

Ver estadísticas:
144hz
Is there a setting in game to change it?
I got one and can see the difference in battlefield, but i fail to see the difference in Counter strike

your monitor's refresh rate (Hz) can only be set by your graphic card/OS settings.
but each monitor comes with fixed refreshrate/s. i can set my current one only to 59Hz and 60Hz. i can't change that.
therefore, running games with a FPS higher than 60 would be pointless.

however, as we don't know which monitor you have and on how many Hz it can run at max, we can't help you any further.
also, your attitude kinda makes me regret helping you.
It says 144hz. I set it to that in nvidia control panel.

And the fact i got more attention after my attitude only proved my point.
Oh yeah, the monitor is vg248qe

then you can set your FPS max to 144...higher would be pointless, as the monitor refreshes each pixel with a frequency of 144 per second.

you might feel a difference on 128tick servers with that high framerates.

in launch options put "-freq 144" and the game will use your 144hz

Are you for real?

Tried that.
I read that -freq doesn't work anymore.

you may try going into your graphic card settings and try messing with resolutions there, for example delete any 60hz or lower than 144hz resolution

for example ATI go to CCC - my digital flat panels - HDTV support
and there you can add/remove resolutions

EDIT: was just quickreading, you probably already did that

not an expert in this thing, but thats where I would start

oh and here

or adjust the search a little

I would still say that higher fps affects your controls and responsibility of them (and that is not linked to monitor)
I always just recommend setting it to around lowest fps that u get when playing
(lowest drop)

right click at desktop, screen resolution, advanced settings, monitor, and choose the refresh rate that you want from there.

Already had that covered.
It seems though that now i have some jitter in go and source. It is very slight, but rather annoying.

oh found a nice quote about that 144hz monitor and the max fps

// The primary benefit of an FPS cap is to make the FPS more stable, other than
// that, it doesn't do a lot. A moderate, consistent framerate is much more
// desirable than a variable but sometimes high framerate. A common
// misconception is that if any more frames are generated than your monitor can
// display, they are useless. This is wrong -- frames are used for much more
// than mere display, and affect the way the game feels well past your
// refresh rate.
//
// This FPS cap should *always* be set to a value higher than `cl_cmdrate' in
// any case, or the discrepancy between clientside frame generation and frames
// to be sent to the server will no doubt cause you many a headache, especially
// when it comes down to hit registration. Other than that, I recommend
// for everyone to use the value `132' (2*66), as long as you can generally
// keep that value stable without regular drops.

taken from http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/10009-tf2-stuttering-with-new-144hz-monitor
they say its info from chris config.

And I completely agree...more FPS does affect other things than just your monitor
Just think about it for a bit.

Been also reading that some people use -refresh 144 in launch options, but I cant confirm

try doing what I said and cap the fps on the lowest that u get
