One of the things I enjoy about Counter Strike the most (particularly in regards to its competitive mode) is how dynamic it is. Some rounds will be incredible fast-paced with Ts rushing into your position with guns blazing, and you and maybe one other teammate will have to hold them off as best as you can until the rest of your team can reinforce you. However, some rounds will be very slow, and you'll be forced to camp a position and listen very closely to your surrounds to see if you can hear your enemy's footsteps as they creep into your position.
To me, it's incredible exciting to have those drastic of dynamic levels in a video game. You don't get that in Call of Duty where everything is going crazy 24/7. Personally, that style of gameplay is enjoyable for 30 minutes at absolute most for me and then I'll get bored with it. With Counter Strike, however, I can sit down and literally play the game for hours on end and not get bored with it at all. It really just depends on what you want out of gaming. From the sounds of it, CS might just not be your thing. It requires actual strategy and know-how to be good at it. That said, it's a cheap enough game to pick up and if you don't like it you're not out all that much money. Plus there's a deathmatch mode so you could always just play that ;)
No doubt the Pro90.
actually any pistol (excluding the deagle) or SMG and the m4a1-s.
also, the shotguns punch quite the pack at close-range, even when moving.
and of course, the israeli-swag weapon of doom - quantity over quality...the BFG of CS:GO: the negev.
