Good run n gun weapon?
Hey one of the reasons I was initially put off by this game is that you can't run n' gun with the "big 3" weapons, the AK, M4, and AWP, and that's just my playstyle. So I quit playing. Then someone told me this game is better balanced than CS:S and more than the big 3 are viable. Where in CS:S all weapons but the big 3 were good in one area and useless everywhere else. And now they made all the other weapons more well rounded.

So I'm wondering what's a good versatile run n' gun weapon? The mp7 seems to get a very small crosshair when crouched/standing for an SMG, though it does sacrifice some movement speed.

I'd say P90

Most SMG's you can run and gun with, at short range, to varying levels of success. That said, this isn't Call of Duty. Running and gunning isn't a good strategy, and if you have any desire to be even remotely decent at this game then you need to learn some actual legitimate strategies.

i like fast paced games, not just camping in a corner waiting for someone to come into your crosshairs, that just doesn't get my adrenaline going.

Try to win a 1v5, that'll get your adrenaline going.

All shotguns are accurate while running, even jumping. SMGs are pretty reliable in short (3-4) bursts while running, especially the UMP. I wouldn't recommend any of this in high rank competitive play however.

camping isnt a very good strategy either

Why not, you see the enemy before they see you. And they are completely boned when they are out of grenades.

One of the things I enjoy about Counter Strike the most (particularly in regards to its competitive mode) is how dynamic it is. Some rounds will be incredible fast-paced with Ts rushing into your position with guns blazing, and you and maybe one other teammate will have to hold them off as best as you can until the rest of your team can reinforce you. However, some rounds will be very slow, and you'll be forced to camp a position and listen very closely to your surrounds to see if you can hear your enemy's footsteps as they creep into your position.

To me, it's incredible exciting to have those drastic of dynamic levels in a video game. You don't get that in Call of Duty where everything is going crazy 24/7. Personally, that style of gameplay is enjoyable for 30 minutes at absolute most for me and then I'll get bored with it. With Counter Strike, however, I can sit down and literally play the game for hours on end and not get bored with it at all. It really just depends on what you want out of gaming. From the sounds of it, CS might just not be your thing. It requires actual strategy and know-how to be good at it. That said, it's a cheap enough game to pick up and if you don't like it you're not out all that much money. Plus there's a deathmatch mode so you could always just play that ;)

Sadly, this isn't really a run n' gun game. But, if you really want to do so, the P90 is probably your best bet. It is IMO the best gun for rushing.

No doubt the Pro90.

P90's been said and done, plus the auto shottie is pretty great on the run as well. As for pistols that spray well, try the five-seven, the tec9, or duel berettas.

P90 and the glock.

actually any pistol (excluding the deagle) or SMG and the m4a1-s.
also, the shotguns punch quite the pack at close-range, even when moving.
and of course, the israeli-swag weapon of doom - quantity over quality...the BFG of CS:GO: the negev.
