Logitech G500 Mouse
Hey everyone, I just got a Logitech G500S gaming mouse, and I am wondering if anybody else out there has some solid settings they would like to share like the amount of weight they put inside and DPI.

I use 4 x 4.5g weights (all front)

For me its 3 - 4.5's in front and 3 - 1.7's in back, DPI goes 800, 1200, 1600, 2000. Thats the way I like it, but you gotta figure out what you like. I went through and played some Single Player, and changed the weights out during the game to get what felt right :) Hope this helps

How come the software to change DPI won't work no matter what I do it won't detect my mouse. I've ran as admin to install it and run it, and nothing works alll of the drivers are updated etc.

Did you have a different manufacturer mouse before? If so try this, let us know.. http://forums.logitech.com/t5/G-series-Gaming-Mice/Setpoint-not-detecting-G500-workaround-solution-WORKS/td-p/637284
From upgrading from the G500, i have moved to the zowie FK, and what i truly miss is the shape of the g500, it was perfect and slick in my hands, what i used was:

6/11 Windows Sens,
450 DPI
2.78 Insgame Sense Is what i prefer now from a 4.7
500 Mouse Hertz(Default)

I use the same for the zowie fk, it just doesn't feel right in my hands(the fk)

Yea this mouse does feel nice. I had the G9x, until logitech just replaced it with the 500s and prefer the feel way better.

I dont know if you guys use this already, but this Mark 7 & 8 mouse fix for 1 to 1 mouse movement has helped extremely with FPS games. http://donewmouseaccel.blogspot.com/2010/03/markc-windows-7-mouse-acceleration-fix.html

Hey I just realized I have one of these LOL.

Uhm I use three 1.7g weights, in a Chevron pattern.
You can also make the weights asymmetrical if your feel the muscles in your hand aren't balanced.

@SAINT my mouse is the G500S so it does not use setpoint it uses logitech gaming software 8.50 and it will not detect it through this.
