- More cute model, much better pullout animation, R+F spinning.
Talon:
- More brutal and bigger blade, rare inspect animtaion with spinning (but bad for R+F).
Personally I don't like Talon's grip.
the karambit is always a top 2, or at worst top 3 knife in community rankings (it'll never be #1 due to the butterfly of course)
the talon, on the other hand generally falls in the top 5 to top 8 range, and the prices reflect that too
the vanilla karambit for example costs more than double the talon
EVERYONE respects and loves the karambit, meanwhile, the talon is hit or miss
the karambit is just flawless, flawless design and animations (admittedly, the only thing that isn't flawless is the corner on some skins, but the talon is significantly worse when it comes to visual wear so the karambit wins in that aspect as well)
the talon, however, has a draw animation that many find annoying, it's not smooth, because it comes out, then bounces against the hand and comes back the other way, it looks glitchy, and the sound is a bit weird too
meanwhile, the karambit draw is one fluid motion in one direction with a nice sound, the karambit draw animation is so smooth and fluid that it feels like you're one with the knife
and then there's the handle, the karambit handle is shaped perfectly to fit your closed hand, all the grooves in the shape look like they were designed for maximum grip and comfort, the talon handle looks awkward due to having a flat surface
the karambit wins in every single way, in objective measures, by value, by aesthetics, by sound, by animations, by design, by status, literally by every measure you can think of
if you want a good debate, try these knives against karambit and talon respectively:
karambit vs m9
talon vs skeleton
then you'll have more of a divide amongst your answers
dude, you can't say something controversial like that and not give reasons
if you say karambit, then it doesn't need an explanation, but if you say talon, then you have to give points as to why
you're the first person to say talon, all 10 responses prior to yours were karambit, and realistically, it should be 100% karambit
The karambit is much better, especially mid- and long term.
