agents can't be unboxed like any other skin so if no new agents are being added the existing ones are just getting rarer and more sought after.
I bought the Elite Crew agent that was listed for about $13 right when it came out.
I'm guessing they have different voice lines, which I don't care about....or someone wanted to get rich.
Nowadays I just use the default skins. In Faceit pugs, almost everyone uses the default skins...and then people think I'm Nostradamus if someone is using an agent skin, I tag them, then I can tell my team who is low....or if there are multiple enemies
I honestly don't get the agent skins. It's easier to play competitively with default agents. Think about it. If someone had a default agent, and peeked a corner, then repeeked, it could be the same player, or there could be two people there.
And if you consistently see an agent character model playing one area of the map, now you can play around them if they're good and figure out how they play
It's not even about demand and supply, CS players just love to overprice everything, even if nobody is buying it+ No way I'm spending $25 for an agent that looks like a regular SAS agent.
No one is forcing you to buy them
