Every time I start up CS:GO the sound volume is reset
I like to have the sound volume for CS:GO in windows at a low, like 3-5.

Every time I restart CS:GO it resets back to 100%.

Why is it not saving it?

Skype mic volume with CS:GO
Every time i start up CS:GO, it jacks my mic volume to max and deafens all of my friends. I have already taken skype off of "automatically adjust microphone settings." Anyone know how to fix this?

http://superuser.com/questions/384472/how-to-make-windows-7s-volume-mixer-save-individual-volumes-again

I checked this registry and it does in fact hold hex values for the volumes of every program that you modify the volume of, however, CSGO does not show in my list nor am I able to make it show up, this would seem to mean that its a problem with the game not properly saving its own registry values. (might be a byproduct of anti cheat built into the game)

If anyone knows a solution id like to know it

Mic Volume raises when starting CSGO
Hi.

So if I have for an example, 30 volume in the microphone tab on windows sound, this will go up to 100 when I'm starting the game.

It's really weird, and It doesn't do it if I start any other game. So I always have to tab out and put the mic sound volume back to 30 or 40 for good quality.

Anyone else having this problem?

Yes, the game forces mic volume to 100% upon launching. If I remember, I'll link you to the thread which gives you the CVARs for changing/fixing this.

Valve is too lazy to fix it, been reported on steam forums for like 3 months now

Figured it out, So what I had to do was go to the cfg folder and open config and autoconfig.exe and put in (if it´s not already there) voice_mixer_volume "x.xx"
and change the "x.xx" to e.g. "0.51" if you want your mic level to be 50%

all you have to do is go in the config of CS:GO and change voice_mixer_volume from "1" to "0" if you want to have 0% Mic Volume for example and then save it.

Examples:

voice_mixer_volume from "1.00" = 100% Mic Volume
voice_mixer_volume from "0.10" = 10% Mic Volume
voice_mixer_volume from "0.30" = 30% Mic Volume
voice_mixer_volume from "0.50" = 50% Mic Volume
