How do you take a screenshot from demo replay?
I can't find a way to take a screen shot when watching a downloaded replay of a match using the replayer in the game. The standard F12 does nothing, but elsewhere in the game (menu/during a match) it works normaly. I've also tried the PrintScreen button but it just takes a picture of stuff that's runing in the background (usually the steam window).

Is there any way to make this thing work without installing additional software?

I haven't been able to take SS from replays either, might try external SS programs like Fraps of something.

Any update on this? Taking a screenshot during a demo is standard. I don't see why this isn't a feature yet. I also tried the screenshot command in console, that didn't work either.

Try Print screen and inset it in Paint if everything else doesnt work.

Hell, you should've read the original post. Print Screen takes a picture of the desktop and any windows running on it. It does nothing for the game.

I can confirm MSIAfterburner's screen capture works, it has three formats: bmp, png, jpeg, quality settings: 25% to 100%.

Great alternative but it seems unnecessary to have a 3rd party program do such a simple task. I also have dxtory but then I cannot upload the image to my profile (on the cloud) to share with friends; I'd have to rely on a 3rd party website to host it.

+1 I'd love to take a screenshot from a demo. Can't seem to figure it out, even "screenshot" from the console doesn't work.

You have to type the words in console, drag the console in the corner where you cant see it anymore, then type enter to take the screenshot without having the console blocking ur screen, hope this helps

just type to console: "bind F11 devshots_screenshot" then if you press F11 steam will take a screenshot^^
