Short screen freeze on Kill / player death
Hi,

im having this issue for more then 7 months. Ive tried everything to fix that.
Contacted the support and did everything theyve told me to find the case of this issue but nothing helped. Finaly theyve told me to create a new threat in here because some Valve employers would read it propably....

First i need to say that i could run the beta and the first final release without any problems.

To explain that kind of bug...

Every time im on a online server and manage to get a frag my screen freezes for 0.5 - 1 sec and just after this short time im able to see if ive got the frag.
It also seems to lag when i get killed and when im playing deathmatch with more then 10 players it lags every time when some1 on the server dies.

Hardware/sys:
Gpu : ati radeon hd 6870
Mainboard : AsRock 880gm-le
Cpu : amd athlon II x3 450
Ram : 6gb gskill ddr3 @ 1333mhz
Os : Win7 64bit Home prem
It even appears when ive just installd my windows and have no other software installed then steam.

Ive tried multiple drivers and also disabled firewall and anti virus....

Even the support had no glue why im having this issues so i think its just caused by a update!

Looking forward to see a fix soon.

I am having a similar issue.. When approaching an enemy there is about a 40% chance that the screen will pause until i am dead. This is sometimes accompanied by repeating sound effects (usually a gun firing). I tried to just put up with it, but when you really get into a game it is quite frustrating / feels unfair that you didnt really get a chance to make the kill.. I have tried various things to fix the issue - Update driver files, update windows files.. Any more ideas will be appreciated.

now my latest topic was deleted for no reason by a mod. :D gg for that.

so here we go and a bump for this one.

the problem still exists after the latest patch.
and btw there is nothing left i could try to fix this! even on other os im having the same issue. another internet connection = same issue.
the problem isnt caused by software etc etc...

id follow the supports advice so why would you delete my topic?

I have moved my game from the usual location (Secondary HDD, WD Green 3TB).. onto my C Drive (Samsung 256GB SSD). This has improved the performance greatly, to a point where this particular game (csgo) will only stutter rarely, if at all.. I've heard WD Green are low performance 'energy saving' drives so if you have a drive like that try moving it someplace faster! - Let me know of any (other) solutions if you come accross any.. I wasn't really planning to use my small amount of SSD on games!

I think I have found the fix! In Steam/SteamApps/common/ right click the folder Counter Strike Global Offensive, go to properties and make it NOT read only. Then press ok and all the files should go non read only. That can take 2-3 minutes.

i tried out diffirent graphic cards but all the same... graphics on lowest settings... fps at ~120
but how can it be the cpu? i have an i5 4-core cpu... thats more than enough...
i use usb headset and have the soundcard deaktivated. does the usb headset need more cpu usage??
