Lobby mic always activated
Hey,

it is annoying that when you enter a looby with friends to play matchmaking, your voice is always enabled.

EVEN if you have bound it to a key for press2talk (normally "k" I believe).
So I want that you also have to p2t in lobby, if you enabled it.

Everyone has to mute it in lobby first, it's nonsense.
Only a minor bug, but I wanted to write it down, though it seems that no dev would ever look into here :>

Hi BAER,

Why this's a bug in your opinion ???
I find it really helpful, I enter the lobby and talk to the group i'm going to play with.
I needed to mute it only 2 times in the past months.

Sorry, but I don't see a problem here.
Hope developers see that too.

Good luck in the game ! ;)

While, if you have alot of background noise and use a push to talk only when needed, it can get really annoying to always have to mute and unmute to talk to people.

You didn't understand. I always use push2talk. If I don't press my button, I don't want to be heard. And I'm just not. Neither ingame, nor in TeamSpeak, everything fine.
BUT in lobby I am. They forgot to take this in account.

My request is: Also in lobby I want only be heard if I press my voice key (default k). NOT always, except I have adjusted it that way. Nmolby understood :)

This is a bug, because for me it creates a lot of feedback through my mic in the lobby which is not present in game. The feedback is not caused by any background noise at all, it just happens. Causes me to have to type rather than talk with the other people in the lobby.

? That is the entire point. EVERY TIME we first must get muted using this very button. Which is totally unnecessary if implemented correctly.

Wish there was a push to talk option in lobbies, but talking in lobby isn't that important anyway.

wow man that's a real big problem u got there. you should ask for a refund :csgogun::csgohelmet:
Minor bug, as stated. Nothing to get on some ironic shoot list. Yet nice to be fixed eventually ;)

I know this issue. People on teamspeak always have to click on that button first.
It's nothing what kills you, but would be nice if Valve gives the opportunity to disable it in the options. So the people could decide themselves whether they want it or not and everyone is happy.
Yeah, I don't enjoy the loud, echoing kind of noise coming through on my speakers when I join a lobby with friends. I did select push-to-talk for a reason, so it makes no sense for the lobby to do its own thing in that regard.

Check your Steam voice settings. I had the same issue and then discovered that in steam voice settings it was still on voice activation (although in CS:GO I set it to "push to talk"). I can check it later today if it is working correctly now.
