VAC system blocked

I get this message on a casual match which in short says

- you are unable to maintain a stable connection to the VAC system
- you are running software that is modifying the game or incompatible with VAC

during the match I have CS2, Steam, and google running
Nvidia Geforce, corsair LINK, mcAfee on the background

I verified my CS2 files and still can't join any match (I am bad at the games, but I don't cheat) I only play on casual and practice with bots. I do have very bad connection with the servers (only running at 53-55 ping all the time)

I don't know how to contact steam support and the discussion forum is the only way to turn to

oh and I don't have any config apart from on mouse sensitivity and crosshair that I tweak myself from the settings menu

Why are you using McAFee over Windows Defender?

Exit out of steam and enter back. Should fix it

Mcafee is a bloatware

I had this problem couple of times myself. Try this:
-set maximum allowed ping to max settings
- restart your modem/router

sorry I'm not following my own windows protection, i got mcAfee since 2012 and it helps me to blocked certain malware and stuff

okay will update you how it goes, right now I reinstalling my CS2, I read on some other discussions it fixes the problem. I only got this error after the update, does this happened occasionally on you?

try run steam / cs2 as admin, reinstall/verify game files, turn off mcAfee

not after the last update, because I have not played the game for the last couple of weeks, but previously yes, occasionaly in cs2

thanks guys, turns out all I need to do after verified files was to restart my pc, that or reinstall CS2.

I get this almost every week since one of the updates. can't play on my 2nd pc either.. checking files and repair of steamservices or rebooting does not help. its just 'fixed' by itself after some time even when I do nothing

Its really hard to convince people that CS is better than Valorant if nothing works

Why would you want to do that anyway, when CS is full of cheaters and hit registration is so bad, that calling it "trash" would be insult to trash.

Try restarting your PC. Hope this helps.
