CS2 FPS DROP FOR NO REASON
I build up a whole new pc because of this game in order to increase my overall fps from 220 max to something better like 300 .... My previous build was i5 4690 3.5Ghz with 1070ti and reaching up to 250 fps max with 180 minimum in-game (315-320 constant fps in menu) ,in order to avoid the 100% cpu bottleneck in my previous build i build up this new one>>>>my new build is ryzen 5 3600 + 1070ti + b450 gaming mobo from MSI so I can avoid the CPU bottlenecking (now I got like 20-30% cpu utilization during game + 40-50 gpu) ..So the problem here is - my fps increased in menu up to 420(by 100-120+ fps) and also i see little improvement in-game , but the real problem is that if I don't do anything in menu it starts decreasing every second by 1-2-3 fps per second until it reaches 70-90 and then its capped(this is for menu only)For in-game i get fluctations , from decreasing to rising fps which rising is better but .... That drives me crazy, i tried everything ,chipset drivers, windows update, driver updates, reinstalling drivers, reinstalling game, using all cpu threads, using whole bunch of different commands for CS2,bios options , overclocking, downclocking, different windows options, mem test ,cpu stress test, gpu stress test ,removing ram ,adding ram , changing slots...something I missed ?Everything you could imagine , nothing help , it only happens in this game ,In other games I have stable fps performance and no instability.
It's like starting the game with 420-430 starting dropping every sec by 1-2-3fps per second ,then after i move the animated camera it turns back by 10-20 fps ,then again starts decreasing and after i move the animated camera again it doesnt increase to the last fps it was. What is this behaviour,I just see my computer is capable of handling much more FPS ,I can add that this didn't happened in my previous build,in my previous build with i5 4690(non K ver) it was constant and stable fps with minimums and maximum ?
Now is like 420-419-418-416-417-415-410-411-409-408-411-405-399 and like that decreasing until it reach 70-90 when idiling in CS2 menu ....I don't think its up to the latest update because I had playing it with my old configuration after this update and it had no problem back then.

Motherboard: MSI B450 Gaming Plus MAX (latest bios)
CPU : Ryzen 5 3600 4.2ghz |
GPU MSI 1070 Ti 8 gb Gaming
1SSD 500gb(game is installed on SSD)
1HDD 500gb
2x8 GB Gskill ram ddr4

to be honest your pc is pretty mid still, I mean saying mid is kind... it's extremely old. The issues your getting are mainly from your pc being so out of date.

Also to add, your 4690 is just as good as the 3600 if not a little better, I don't know what made you feel it was needed to upgrade to a nothingness upgrade to be honest

i have ryzen 5 5600 3.5 ghz and rtx 4060 ti 8 gb
and i have the same problem. Fps drops down to 40-50 fps when i shoot through the wall in ancient. or just spray in other maps.
reinstall the game, update nvidia drivers, chipset. Even windows reinstalled. But the problem hasn't gone. Low preset in game.

what do i do to fix it cause my pc is not outdated
CapuCom Feb 4 @ 3:10pm
I also have a R5 3600, but paired with a RTX 3070, and the max fps i can get is about 280
on dust 2 on deathmatch mode which is more intensive than competitive. But the problem is the same, it starts decreasing down to 180 - 160 and feels horrible. The worst part is that when i had a Ryzen 3 3200g paired with a GTX 1050Ti the performance was way more stable. You may ask yourself why... Well the answer is simple: The updates ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the game performace.
