VAC + VAC NET Conclusion And Thoughts
VACnet is a bunch of CPUs in a data center. Their job is to process game demos from CSGO matches while looking for signs of cheating. The system is trained through something called "deep learning".

You see we have a learning phase.

If VAC was to ban everyone it thought was cheating there would be many false bans which would cause loads of work to be done by the anticheat/dev/customer service teams. They would have to review each account and game individually causing way too much work which can be avoided.

The learning phase ensures accurate banning of accounts with no comes backs. The learning phase has to make sure the Ai gets it 100% right everytime before it has finished its learning phase.

Remember the anti cheat was updated and for the new netcode and new game engine its been active and learning the new netcode and engine since 2023 September.

Patience boys and girls :D

Side not: I have not seen cheaters in CS2 as of yet but have not played much either.

Conclusion: CS2 Was released in September 2023 its only been 6 months! The learning phase can take many more months or even years. We are going to see something special once it has finished its learning phase. I know its kinda redundant but remember CS2 is only a new game and only 6 months old and the updated anti cheat has only been learning the new engine for 6 months. We are in the early phases.

Something special is coming for all us CS fans soon with the anti cheat so stay tuned boys and girls

CS2 has only been out for 6 months. The anti cheat changed to accommodate the new engine and Netcode hence why VAC and VACNET is still in its learning phase as its only been 6 months.

I think we are going to see something special with this new update of the anti cheat once the learning phase is completed.

They have many billions of dollars, it doesn't take that long if you are willing to invest what is needed. They are full of it, the whole game is a scam, they act like they will fix this problem and they are working on it but you get useless updates every month after waiting impatiently. I believe they are just taking the piss and grabbing as much money with BS updates that bring them easy money because of all the fomo investors.

You mean every game, since you are in every game you play.

OP woke up and choose spitting facts. 100% true, all you are saying. People in comments don't even understand what are you talking about. But that is a fundamentally new approach in developing anticheats. Noone does it before, and in perspective, it has a big potential.

The problem started when Counter Strike became a successful business.
Vac Net was already learning in Cs Go for like what 4 years and nothing happend. I only saw 1 Vac Net Ban that was from a Youtube Video
skOsH♥ Mar 14, 2024 @ 6:34am
yeah, I am pretty sure VACNet has had about 7-8 years of data it has gathered
CaptainSonic Mar 14, 2024 @ 6:47am
Valve has been silent throughout this time, but I think the reason we have so many cheaters right now is pretty clear, and this might put some people's minds at ease.

Cheaters aren't getting banned because Valve needs to record their games. When enough data is gathered on how cheaters behave in games (as opposed to legit players who subsequently install cheats and get caught), then VAC(net) can be trained on games where it can be certain that cheats are installed and active. When you ban players immediately, you lose out on the opportunity to collect this data.

So, there's two ways to look at it.
1. We are Valve's lab rats for the time being.
2. Valve is intentionally loosening up in order to record current games that include known cheating so we can benefit in the long run.

I'll put away my tinfoil hat now. This is all speculation.

You can't mix CSGO data with CS2 data, too many differences. I'm really hoping Valve is making use of the new AI tech though, but I'd be lying if I said they didn't have us hoping for a while by now

Thx for your post. I learned 1 or 2 littles things. I understand your hopes, but you look like a old cs player, you may know the issues with the vac is not really new ...

I want to be optimist like you, but can you just explain me one things, just one little thing :

Why VAC was able 2 month ago to ban cheaters who were spining and killing everyone with awp in less than 1 seconde, and now VAC can't do this anymore ?

I don't talk about wh, aimbot, detecting software on the pc or else. I just want to understand why VAC can't ban today the cheaters who are shooting 5 awp bullets in less than 1 secondes, in 3 different direction and trough 3 walls.

Do you have an answer for that maybe ? Because I really can't understand and thoses days we just don't want to play anymore because close to all game got cheaters(not just assumption of wh, but spinbot/rage hack). Some evening we got 3 game in a row without cheater and we believe it's done, then it start again ...
