What are the chances someone buys my overpriced items?
I've been looking through the Steam market for CS2 a lot, and I've noticed that nearly every weapon gets sold one or twice for ten times the median price. I've always been very curious why anyone would buy these skins, and I've also been wondering if I have any chance to sell an item for a very high price.

Has this ever happened to you? How do I increase the chances of this happening?

Good question. I have noticed it too. Right now Im tryng to sell 0.50€ cent skin for 100€. No luck and after 3 months maybe it got transferd back to my inventory for some reason. But i put it back there.

The other end of spectrum is that i have seen high price items worth of 500€ or more with 1€. Whats up with that?

They have maybe good float or expensive stickers

The best chance you have is when someone puts in a buyorder and makes a type. Like forgetting a comma in a 1,00 bid accidentally making it a 100.

It will buy the item that's a 100 bucks in such a case. Also happens to sellers, the other way around that's why you sometimes see very expensive items being sold way too cheap.

The trades could also be scams or money-laundry.

Most likely ppl. transfering steam balance between their accounts.
Probably some mistakes or float/sticker reasons, but i guess most of this is transfering money.

its not a chance of buying "overprice" item, if it was skin then the guy looking for the best rate

When I see one item sold for a lot of money when it normally sells for a few pennies, I'm thinking it's not a random rich idiot, it's two people who know each other and one of them owed the other one money.
