Exactly how often do you encounter hacks?

I don't play as often as back when it was CS:GO and now I'm right now merely Nova 1. It's now more of a casual game to me and I care way less about win or lose. But still, cheaters manage to ruin all the fun for everyone.

I only play ranked matches so I got a slightly higher change to play with hackers. But the thing is though, I can't tell. My skill has become so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that I can't tell if they are just so good or piercing smoke and door is completely normal.

I figured, why would anyone cheat in Nova 1, right?
So my question is, how often do you encounter cheaters?
I really met a lot of cheaters or am I imagining things?

Obvious hackers? Very little. I tend to think they are just pretty good 1st instead of straight away to hackers so my view might be unreliable.

Not playing CS2 often (playing other games I enjoy), yet having GN1 on Dust2 currently, and I get closet cheaters rarely. And even when I get I usually just outplay them. So I even forget they exist.

The last time I met a blatant cheater was in 2022.
And the last time I met a spinbot was in 2021 when I queued with a low TF player, and before that in 2018.

So yeah, cheaters don't really bother me.
Yet the game is kinda boring, so I don't spend much time in it anyway.

About ranks \ rating, the amount of cheaters increases a lot after MG and 15k premier ranks.
And LEM+ and 25k+ probably unplayable atm.

Well trust factor is definitely a thing, but that doesnt really excuse valve not banning blatant players. I think trust factor is also bugged or maybe its being used as a form of low priority queue.

My main, a 21 year account that I registered for the cs beta 21 years ago.

This alt, which I created 19 years ago, but have only had counter strike since 2016.

My main has seen zero overwatch/vac bans. But the games are way harder on there for some reason. My main only being gold nova 1, silver master for the longest time. Just for reference I used to be a gold nova master back in 2016.

This account, yikes.

Out of something like 300 games, 25 games have had someone banned, but the amount of people clearly hacking are much higher.

People were even banned in the 3000 premier rating, I tried it out but gave it up after facing this stupid crap.

1 game is really to many, and you have no idea whats its like until the game is telling you that you are the worst of the worst, while throwing players with 100 leetify aim at you.

I gave up on this game long ago, and im glad I did.

Almost every match at least 2 cheaters primade, this was never happened in CSGO in CSGO was cheaters but 1 in 1 team never more then 1 in CS2 i had situations where full team have cheats, and today i officially after 4 years constantly playing this sh1t game i deinstall and i will return when they install ANTICHEAT (never gonna happened)

Thanks for you guys insights and honestly your answers shocked me a little. I'm more than willing to admit I'm bad at this game ever since.

I forgot to mention that my trust factor is basically full/max/green so you are probably right.

But I'm not talking about spinning dudes.
I'm talking about the wh and aimbots playing as Oscar actors.
I don't have any proof whatsoever, it's just I'm that kind of players that almost walk quietly the whole game. So their awareness and reaction do say something.

I even saw a player admit that he hijacked this account and used hacks to play.

Dude, in csgo i was LEM max rank and i did not feel as bad playing that sweatfest of a game as cs2. I always just think i kind of suck at the game first before saying anything but lately, due to trust factor or some reason i feel like my enemies have advantages. My weapons don't register bullets and getting headshoted behind the wall or enemy knowing my location without checking angles and going straight for me even without me giving any signs where i am. It's just, I know im getting bad a the game probably but this game seems like it has some cheater issue every time i play it, hence i stoped playing this game often.
