But that sounds normal for this system.
I have R7 5800 and 7900XT and have at least 300fps (up to 500 on some spots).
So you basically should have about 2 times more FPS with your rig.
I suggest to verify game files, clean DX cache, update all drivers and disable any NVIDIA stuff that might interact with CS2 process like Reflex and so on.
Oh you're right, I Using 1920x1080 resolution with Low settings. Launch options or settings in Nvidia control panel make no difference. It seems like it's due to the processor and RAM. Do you think the processor performance of APUs is that bad?
I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them, it makes no difference, I had just bought the graphics card anyway, only the Nvidia programs for the graphics card are installed, nothing else related to the graphics card is installed.
While the whole world is trying to make games using GPU, Valve is still focusing on CPU. My computer performs as expected in almost all games, but totally mediocre on Valve games.
When I bought this processor, it wasn't clear whether the game performance would be bad or not. If I had known that, I wouldn't have bought it, this was a lesson for me. You should never trust the high model numbers or something. Ryzen7 5500 was released in 2022, but look at the model number. My processor was released in 2021. I didn't pay attention to these details at all. And APU's are really bad. I think I need to replace this processor.
And also, you might want to consider upgrading your GPU as well. 4060 is umm.. not great.
This game is unoptimized to ♥♥♥♥, alan wake 2 has lower fps, but it doesnt have near the 1% lows that cs2 does.
Must have something to do with player models because in a 5 v 5 the game feels, ok. Not superb, but ok.
In a deathmatch where its like 20 players, pfff im hitting 100 fps, but the input feels like half of that.
People say the brand new, top of the line amd processor makes this game feel smoother.
People overlooking the fact you shouldnt need a brand new top tier cpu to play a 1+ year old game.
Let alone one as simple in gameplay and mechanics as counter strike, lmao.
That can also be an issue.
Your RTX 4060 is fine for this game. Not the best, but I have RTX 3060 and I have much better FPS, so clearly GPU is not your problem. CS2 mostly depends on CPU.
If you want a cheap upgrade that will make your FPS 300+ quite stable, then get a Ryzen 7 5700X3D.
Anyway, some basic tips / questions:
1. In Windows Power Management, make sure "High performance" is set.
2. In NVIDIA Control Panel, make sure Power Management is set to "Prefer maximum performance".
3. Check your CPU and GPU temps.
4. Does your RAM actually run at 3600MHz? If not, enable XMP in BIOS.
5. Overclock your GPU if you haven't already for free performance boost. If you don't know how to do this, check some MSI Afterburner tutorials on YouTube. You don't have to do some advanced overclocking, just do a simple one and that will be enough.
6. Overclock & undervolt your CPU if you haven't already. Again, check some tutorials on YouTube.
7. Disable all unnecessary software from Windows Startup in Task Manager
8. Run a Disk Cleanup in Windows.
9. Scan and possibly repair corrupted system files through DISM and sfc /scannow (search on Google if you don't know how to do this).
10. Try uninstalling NVIDIA driver completely using DDU program. Then, install the newest driver.
11. Don't run any launch options for CS, they are mostly useless.
12. Look for cs2.exe, go to Properties and check "Disable full-screen optimisations".
13. You mentioned all your video settings are set on Low, but also double check anti-aliasing and set it to CMAA2.
There are more things you could do, but all of these points are just out of my head now. Some of these WILL increase your FPS, some might and some might not.
Your specs are not the best, but neither ancient. CS2 is just poorly optimised and some people just refuse to admit it.
