Seriously, what gives valve?

This is honestly kind of absurd. Its been 416 days and my favorite item still looks like some little kid got into his dads black and blue spray paint.

SHADOW DAGGER: SAPPHIRE used to actually.. be purple. Thats literally why I spent 2 weeks of my life working hard to save up for it.

I will never buy another item from the steam market or any subscription or battle pass for CS given the fact apparently any item I might buy can be essentially destroyed by an update (that also makes the game worse in every way possible).

CS2 has been the hugest disappointment for me. I just wish we could go back. Less peekers advantage. Shots registered really well. And my favorite item was actually still what I bought it to look like, not some ruined item that it doesnt even seem like valve looked at or cared about at all.

There is something fundamentally flawed about how SAPPHIRE SHADOW DAGGERS look. Some bug with the lighting or color or probably both.

Sapphire doesn't exist anymore, it wont cost few thousands dollars anymore. Yes, its sadly, but devs can do anything they want in their own game and you accepted these terms in agreement.

...so the devs can change something about an item which people bought with their hard earned money to the point it doesn't look similar to what they paid for back when cs2 wasn't even a thing, and they're silently supposed to accept it?

Also still waiting for Valve to fix the Vice gloves they ruined at patch from 30 Nov 2023, which didn't even contain any patchnotes related to skin changes.

Not spending any money on CS2 since then.

Colors got vanished, the black color got replaced with a grey one, the pattern on the backside is barely visible now, the wear condition got a lot worse (much more scratches with the same float).

Now FN Vice Gloves after the patch look even worse than the BS ones before the update.

Game is playable without some pixels which cost hundreds of bucks. Not a game breaking bug. Pleasing certain individuals which spend thousands of bucks on a game which originally is 15 bucks basically, should not be top priority.

Honestly its wild I even have to post about this. They apparently dont care at all.

I wont be spending money on CS2 and probably not dota2 or steam items ever again.

If this is how they treat customers who would support them? Seriously?

Its bad enough they ruined CSGO, but wrecking my items I spent 2 weeks working my ass off to buy is wild. Especially when theyve had over a year to fix this problem and have been made aware of it constantly.

Best part?

Game isnt even playable. CS2 is hot garbage compared to CSGO. NOT EVEN CLOSE, EITHER.

Anyone who played both games for an extended period of time would tell you this game is trash compared to CSGO.

More peekers advantage by up to HALF A SECOND depending on random factors that change during the match and are different between players.

And the new game basically requires I buy an entirely new computer.

AND literally move apartments so I can have fiber internet to even play the game baseline (BECAUSE OF PEEKERS ADVANTAGE BUG)

P.S I used to play CSGO back then too, I consider CS2 an upgrade. Idc about it missing a few gamemodes and maps, which slowly get added anyways. The map has already a good amount of maps.

And you buying a new PC for CS2 means that it was extremely old to even run other newer games from like 2023 or so.

No, it is not common sense to compare actual clothing to pixels on screen which add nothing to gameplay except the visual stuff.

And deleting an item from inventory is not equal to it's colors changing a bit, or whatever.

People who play only for skins should not be VAVLE's top priority.

Looked up the knife you mentioned. Didn't find any complains, also saw CS2 footage of it being purple/cold purple aka a little blueish.

It's a you problem if you spend such a huge amount of money from your 9 to 5 on pixels online. This is the consequence. Either you take it in account before buying, perhaps you don't care about this, so you still buy it. Or if it bothers you thaaat much, then you don't buy it.

Also I think you are in no position to talk about common sense, if you really saved up money from a 9 to 5 just to buy some purple knife.

As said. Not game breaking bug, so it is not top priority. And since you care about a skin having a little bit wrong color after transition to CS2, it makes me think you do actually play the game only for skins. I heavily doubt you would play CS if it hadn't skins.

Every single time I looked at it it made me happy. Dopamine hit. Felt great pulling it out and using it. NEVER regretted it till they ruined my item with CS2, a game that is fundamentally broken in terms of shooting mechanics LOL
