Is Ranking up from Broken on Competitive?

I Have been playing alot of Comp and win most of my matches but since i was given my rank after placemment i havent ranked up at all im currently on 8 win stick with 70 overall wins and havent gone from silver 1 to Silver 2, not sure if its a game issue or not as everyone i know hasn't be able to rank up yet

i don't know if they changed how it works, but in csgo you could not rank up with negative K/D.
in other words, you must have more kills than deaths.
i might remember wrong, but it definetly takes MORE wins to rank up with lower K/D.
you don't have to carry, just make sure you have more kills than deaths.

i might remember wrong, but it definetly takes MORE wins to rank up with lower K/D.

Hi thanks for the Info i usually carry hardcore as used to be a lot higher rank, its very rare i have negative K/D on average 20 kills to 10 death (Usually better then That), just confusing as apart from getting my rank i have not ranked up since CS2 release

This is completely and utterly wrong. Personal performance didn't matter in CSGO.

CS2 isn't any different. Personal performance barely affects the rank.

The difference between CSGO and CS2's ranking system is that there isn't anyone higher than LE (and there is only one LE) and it is nearly impossible to rank up higher than MG ranks. Why? Because their system is just broken at the moment and needs recalibration.
