HUGE FPS drops every minute
Like the title says... I got a new PC yesterday :
-AMD FX 9370
-R9 270X 2GB DDR5
-8gb RAM
-ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2.0

So with my old pc I got a stable 180-200 fps, with this new pc i have around 220-320, but after playing for 1-2 minutes i get a HUGE drop and my fps drops to 40-60, for at least 5 seconds, then in an INSTANT it goes back normal 220+ fps.

This happens every minute, and every other game runs perfectly, my drivers are updated, everything is perfect but cs:go...

Does anyone know why this happens? Never seen anything like this before, this is a brand new pc bf4 runs on ultra, but this game gets a 200 drop of fps every minute for 5-10 seconds.

Please help, or bump this if you don't know the answer :(

I've the same problem. Tried a few suggestions I found online but it still happens. Very annoying when it happens when one on one with a player. Win7 64 bit here as well and R9 290X 4GB DDR5

When did you first have this problem? You get the same 5-10 second lag every minute? Must be a problem with our graphics card than

I've had it a couple of months now, I'm pretty new to cs:go and mine just freezes up for 2-3 seconds but by then I'm dead :( Seems to happen randomly from what I've seen. Maybe it is a graphics card problem, but I haven't seen too many complaints about it. Hopefully you/we get an answer on here.

anyone out there wondering, had this same issue and SOLVED it with asus HD 7700 series card. Every other minute had fps drop into 50's for a minute, and then pumped back up to 150-250. From my GPU tweaker, (Asus GPU Tweak II), added powerlimit by 20% (max.) and no more drops.

Anyways, its probably your GPU throttling, try tweaking up setups. Any program shouldn't drop your fps that harshly and constantly.
