Unranked Competitive Cooldown - Punishes new players

I've recently started playing competitive. I jumped in with some silver friends and we were having a blast. We finally win 2 games, then I get a 21 hour cooldown. After some research I discovered that unranked players can only win 2 games per day. This is ridiculous, it punishes new players. I understand the reason the system is there - cheats, smurfs etc. but it prevents me and other genuine new players from having fun. I only have a little bit of time in the day to play CS:GO, so when I don't end up getting 2 wins I get very frustrated. I still need 4 wins until I get my rank and I haven't been getting many wins lately. At this rate it is going to take multiple days before I can even enjoy the game at my own pace.

You say you have limited time and don't always get two wins in a day anyway, so why does the cooldown bother you so much?

It sounds like it is having very little impact on you at all.

Because some days when I get 2 wins (such as the weekend) and have lots of time to play, my gaming gets cut short when I get a cooldown.

You can play other servers and improve, thus getting a higher overall rank.

The point is I shouldn't be locked out of a portion of the game just because I might be a cheater with a new account or a smurf.

It only locks you out of the ranking system, nothing more, you can play outside of those. If you really feel this way I assume you are of the same mindset when people break the rules as well?

You're allowed 2 WINS per day. Not 2 games

yea its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ valve needs to fix this im on one right now. all i want to do is play it and im on vacation so like im bored out of my mind just watching that cool down time for just a short period of fun

The point of the cooldown is for the MM system to look at ur stats over those 2 wins and place you with people of average stats of yours

can only play 10 games max in 5 days (excluding the ones lost) and is devastated by it..... get a life? Slowing down smrfers doesnt sound like punishing new players to me.

I got cool downed without knowing bout this gonna take a solid day and a half out of my time and I play comp alot and lose alot but it was fun so I am now bummed to have a cooldown
