Just remember rank means nothing. It is only a tool used to pair you up with similarly skilled players. You will rank up when you are ready.

No problem. I know rank has some pride attached to it, but really, if you're having fun playing with the people you play against, that's all that really matters.

Winning games in a row really doesn't matter. So long as you always do good you will rank up.

When you "rank" or "derank" it kind of places you in the middle of the "rank" - So if you derank, you are not close to ranking up, as it will take a few good wins in a row to rank up, and when you rank up, you aren't close to deranking from that rank, but rather in the "middle". If that makes any sense.

i'm pretty inconsistant. I either carry hard or barely break even

That's good. I'm sure you ranked up fast. The thing is if you do well but lose, you won't lose as much ELO as if you had lost and done badly. If you win and do well you get quite a bit of ELO. So even if you win and lose, assuming you do well regardless, you should have a net gain in ELO.

This is how i see it as well, or at least it's my experience of it. It's also why you won't derank straight after gaining a new rank if you loose a game.

Like others have said, we know very little about the ranking system.

Don't quote me on this, but i think on derank it sets back to the default ELO of the rank you ranked down to. just a theory. Whenever i lose my eagle i have to win about 8 - 10 games again
