Moving CS:GO from one PC to another

I just bought CS:GO but i have crappy internet speed and i cant download it. I have a friend who has the game. Is there a way so he can copy it on a flash drive and give it to me?

No, i found a way. Go to "backup and restore games". Backup CS:GO on your flash drive.
Put the flash into the new pc and go to the same option but restore it.

I already have the CS:GO files on my hard drive. How will I run it on my new pc? I don't have a restore option cause on my steam the CS:GO is on "install" prompt. Thanks!

I am not sure how i cant help with that. I just selected "Restore a previous backup" and then i selected the folder in which the "backup" was in.

i just copy the game from directory form my pc, and transfer it into my bro's laptop. When I open my bro's steam and click install on csgo, it already found the folder that i already copy

You could download this game with 200kb/s. Just leave it downloading overnight, it should take about 11 hours on that speed, i've done it multiple times when i had a download speed the same as yours and something tells me it's gonna take longer to get to your friend, copy the files, get back home and send the files. Just a suggestion :) (If your internet cuts off occasionally then it's not worth trying to download it overnight though)

I have done this method for EVERY game I have moved from one harddrive to another, or from one PC to another. It has never failed me and 9/10 it won't need to download anything once you are finished copying. Once you have finished copying though make sure you restart steam.

Be sure your friends PC with the game doesn't have any hacks on it. If it does, and VAC detects it, insta ban.

If it doesn't have any hacks, Back up the game on your friends PC, move the directory to a flash drive, and use steams restore game tool and use the flash drive directory to reinstall.

If the game is in the default directory of installation, it should be detected if it is still there.

If it is in a different steam library, go to the downloads section of steam settings, and add the steam library folder to steam for detection.
