Report Infraction After Match - CS:GO
I just finished playing a game in CS:GO. During the match I became more and more fed up with one player in particular who I thought was playing suspiciously. Being unsure of what to do, I waited until the end of the game to review the match from his perspective. What I've seen makes me believe that this player is clearly using something to modify his performance. After seeing the player behave this way, I attempted to report him.

However, I soon realized that I cannot report a player after the match is over. I am able to report his profile, but not his play during that specific game. NOTE: VAC does not ban based on [profile] reports. Such data is only used for tracking and statistics purposes. (Reporting Suspected Cheaters - https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=1010-TOKN-8461)

An ingame report would be reviewed by overwatch players and justice can be dealt. Reporting his profile, however, is essentially useless because he will not be overwatched or punished for this.

His repeated "knowledge" of our players and / or crazy "reaction time" ruined my competitive experience in that game. And, in an attempt to bring light to this player and his vile deeds, I will post the demo link and player name below:

--Removed at the request of you guys, it was not my plan to ruin anyone's reputation--

TL;DR - way to report after game pls?[/b]

First, naming and shaming is against these forums rules, and nobody will watch your evidence anyway, so not much point. Second, the report button is simply that, to report a suspected hacker, it is an overwatcher or admin's job to determine whether or not he was actually hacking. So if you have any suspicions about a hacker, just report him and leave it at that.
if you think guy was walling keep in mind people may have very good sound cards and good headset. my buddy gets accused of walling quite often but he just has a great sound and headset set up. i tell him to be careful about following noises with his crosshair through walls otherwise if he is right on where he thinks the person is someone viewing the game could think he is following an xray when he is just using sound to assume where person is.

After thorough further investigation on this player during this match, I have come to the obvious conclusion that this player is cheating. He does go lengths to hide this, but his hacking is obvious nonetheless.

The fact that my useless report will NOT be overwatched is why I am creating this thread, if it would be overwatched, I would "leave it at that" as you so kindly say.

Like Mellow said, naming and shaming is against the rules. What are you trying to accomplish by posting a demo link in order to 'bring light to this player and his vile deeds', when this is really all your opinion. He won't get banned by people looking at it or reporting his profile, so you are really just giving this player a bad reputation for you personally believing he is cheating.

I strongly agree with you on this point. Yet I also urge you to download the game and see for yourself. A dead giveaway which differentiates him from you and your friend is that he is able to consistently anticipate player positions across the map, where he would not be able to use sound cues to locate players.

My sole expectation when posting the demo is for other players to reaffirm my suspicions that this player is hacking. I will now remove the demo because I do not want to "give this player a bad reputation".

I also dislike your patronizing, accusatory voice. A simple correction was all that was needed. Plus, mini-modding is also against the forum rules so your post was completely needless.

I am not only trying to bring justice to this player, I am also recommending a change to the report-a-player system where it is possible to report someone's play after the match is over. An option to report the player after the game utilizing the scoreboard and / or the demo's scoreboard would allow for players to confirm their suspicions before reporting a suspected hacker.

Because there is no option for this currently, I will start reporting anyone I even vaguely suspect of hacking in-game. This may cause a lot of inconvenience for overwatch reviewers but I see no other alternative because I can't report them after the match is over.

I guess you didn't entirely read his post sir... He is trying to find out a way to report this character of the unfair/hacking advantages. Yet after a game, there is no way to report it. So your comment of "So if you have any suspicions about a hacker, just report him and leave it at that" he can't... because the game has already ended. Please learn to fully read peoples post before criticizing them.
