only hearing audio in one ear
Hey guys I'm having a problem with my headset, I can only hear audio in my right cup when it is plugged into my pc, but if I plug it into phone/amp/cd player etc. I can get audio in both, it was working just fine (watching some youtube vids) then when I switched on cs go the left cup stopped working and now I can't hear at all from my left ear. Anyone else have this problem and if so how did you fix it? Thankyou for your time.

Does your PC have multiple audio slots? The audio slot in your computer might be broken. Try another one. Also check if you also hear in one ear on different kind of headsets, borrow a friend's headphones or plug in some random earplugs.
oh, wait, just readed your post again and noticed the youtube part. check your in-game audio options. check if the issue is the same in other games

I can't hear anything at all from my left ear cup whether its youtube, games, skype etc. but it still works fine when I plug it into my phone so I'm going to try different audio plug ins.

Note : It was working fine when I was watching youtube then 10 seconds l8er I booted up csgo and now the left cup doesn't work at all on my pc.

Oh I see. I didn't get that part right after all :p If the issue happened just now, try turning your PC off and on. If it was around for a while and restarting it didn't help then there is nothing left to do that checking what the issue is (headphones or slot etc)

I just put it into the back audio jacks in my pc (I have two sets, one in the front which I usuallly use, and another set in the back) and when I put it into the back of my computer the audio issue stopped for now, I just have to turn down my mic intake volume cause I can hear my self breathing and typing thankyou for your help :)

i have very specifically the same problem, i was watching youtube videos and started cs go when my friend invited me in the middle of a video, and i could only hear in my right ear. once read your post saying that you couldn't hear anything at all outside of the game i tested that as well and i turned out to match your situation. i'm going to try to restart my computer and see if that helps, since i don't have a separate audio jack or anything. and it was only for one specific headset, i tried other headphones and they worked fine.

Same issue happening to me too, still. When playing CS:GO, if I alt tab in some situations it will stop feeding audio to my right headphone, untill I exit CS:GO and replug the headphones (doing just one without the other doesn't fix it).

did u manage to fix this?
As I said, my fix when this happens is to exit CS:GO, and then replug the headphones from and into the PC, and then restart CS:GO.
