Why do pros use super low dpi's?
Right now my dpi is set to 1260 with my ingame sensitivity set to 1.71. Is there a disadvantage of using a high dpi with a low sensitivity? Ive tried a low sensitivity but i find the extra mouse strokes messing me up.

400 DPI with 3.5 sensivility,

using high DPI is really bad and useless, much sensilivity means you are playing in close spaces

in my case, i use low dpi for easy controll and spin

Low - high have MORE shadows on screen (shadows you don't really care about) and more draw distance.
Very low has no extra shadows and low draw distance.
Changing the settings doesn't change anything on the shadows themselves.
And unless you are an awper. High draw distance is useless.
Are you thinking before write? You say on "High" there is more draw distance of shadows (better to spot players by his shadow), low have less shadow draw, and then you say is the same... wot?
Watch the video and stop giving misinformation.

Is there any difference between:
1600 dpi and 0.7 sensitivity
800dpi and 1.4 sensitivity
400dpi and 2.8 sensitivity
?
edit:Assuming you have a decent mouse that works well at high DPI.

As I said time and time again. It gives more draw distance YES.
Is it better? YES but as a rifler you are NOT going to focus that far ahead. (most of the time) You are more likely to not notice the shadow even if it is there. As an awper you can use that to your advantage.
And on top of that higher quality adds more shadows. As I said, its up to you what you do, I am not forcing anyones hand here and I am not giving misinformation.
How as a rifle you don't going to focus on shadows around a cornel to get easy kills?
Why you said as an awper I need shadows, when I will be long distance and with scope you can't see shadows of models?

What is your rank, silver elite? Also your age?, stop spreading misinformation my friend

Just play 400dpi like all pros and you are fine, even if there is not significant difference.

Guys stop fighting and just answer the questions if you want to help
Where is 7.1 sound?
What should shadows be at?
And what is the difference between a high dpi and a low ingame setting vs. a low dpi and a high ingame setting?

Omfg are you kidding me? How is low draw distance going to stop you from spotting a shadow that is right around the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ corner? Stop being idiotic.
And you can't? That can't be right.

-You don't need 7.1 sound, just put "headphones" on sound options.
-Shadows should be "High" (watch video to understand)
-Just test yourself what you feel confortable, is almost the same :/ but if you feel like obsessed with it, just stick at what pros use 400-800dpi and you will be fine :D

400 DPI on my razer with 1.35 ingame sens. Any higher and i way overshoot, but i have to lift my mouse constantly and it's annoying and slow as hell.
Blackshadow 1/dez./2014 às 14:07
i use 600 dpi and sens of 1 sometimes 2 couse i rather be accurate then having blazing fast movement

In theory no, if anything high DPI should be better because the game can simply divide the raw input without losing accuracy. Like others have said though, it depends on the mouse. Some work better with certain DPI settings, especially their "native" one. Usually you can find opinions about your particular mouse, and when in doubt I would simply leave it at default settings and adjust through sensitivity ingame.

If anything these are super minor differences though, generally these settings will behave exactly the same.
Zenity 1/dez./2014 às 14:12
As for why most pros play with low DPI, consider that anybody who is a pro now has been playing the game for ages. DPI around 400 used to be pretty standard, and in the end there is just no reason to change settings which work for you. It just goes to show that high DPI on mice is primarily just market hype. 400 is quite accurate enough.

First of all, yeah you can't see the shadow models scoped in. I was wrong and I admit it. But my initial point still stands. Its a trade off. Less shadows on screen, less clutter, less draw distance. More shadows on screen, more clutter, more draw distance. Your choice.
Yes because you are acting like the tipical kid/troll in forums. You don't know what you talking about and give opinions and it's normal for your age.

Also discuss with Shox that "High" shadows are bad, he is in the top 3 players in the whole world, and just won Dreamhack Winter 2014 with his team LDLC :trophy:

I just admitted I am wrong and I apologised. Yet you continue insulting me for no good reason. If you really enjoy winning an internet debate / argument so much that you have to rub it in the others face and call him a kid then good for you. Shows who is the really mature person in this discussion instead of just letting it go and say "It's cool"

Please don't try to hold moral high ground on the position of maturity when you collect badges, cosmetic game games, cosmetic trinkets for profiles, and friends for a video game distributor/service.
