profile picture name change scam

today some guy said he wanted to trade for my hutnsman knife urban masked field tested he asked to trade my knife to my close friend on steam and i did and after he traded me back my knife a guy with the exact same name on steam traded me and i didnt suspect a thing because he was online and not offline i had stupidly accepted a friend request while chattign with him not noticing anything.

i really want my knife back if any valve employee could reverse the trade.. i know it was stupid to fall for that kind of scam and i shouldve checked message history but please i just got that knife 3 days ago...

Every alarm bell should have rang when he asked you to trade your knife away to someone else.

I don't think there is anything support can do. Please be more carefull in the future.

i made a mistake im willing to do anything for my knife back... i didnt expect him to be a scammer i never encountered anything like this before this is the first time this happened to me on steam
