Can you DE-rank from Gold Nova 1 to Silver Elite Master?

hey everyone, I lost my last 5 games but still didn't de-rank back to silver, is it possible? Also, I play with/against a lot of smurfs, is this a common problem in gold nova?

I got a derank from Gold Nova 1 to Silver Elite Master because I played 2 games against lems and lost them both. It depends alot on what kind of people you are facing + mvp's, + score + win/lose/tie

Yep just happened to me. Won my 10th game yesterday and got ranked gold nova 1. Played 2 games against some smurfs unfortunately. We lost both of them and I got a de - Rank. Really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ pissed.

Totally worth it because you can't go lower than Silver I tho xD
