Csgo wagers??

Hello everyone, i usually watch streams once in a while while at work and one streamer plays these things on COD called "wager matches" where you say wager $1 and the other team wager's $1(i'm guessing each) and if you win i'm guessing you get the $1.

Seeing how the betting on this game is what is making it so popular(weather it be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ or the jackpot type websites and now vulcun)

So it would be pretty cool if we had our own wager matches for csgo! Where we can put say a $1 wager or a skin worth $1 wager and we get matched with people our ranks who are wagering what we're wagering and if we win we get either the $1 or the $1 skin(implemented as a drop)

Think about how many people it would attract, not only would people be playing more because wagering would add a whole nother level of competitiveness not only are you less likely to troll when you're going to lose money but smurfs and hackers would probably rarely play in the low brackets so say hackers/smurfs only play in $10 or higher brackets then they will most likely just verse other hackers. On top of the fact that they would be less likely to hack in wager matches due to they would obviously have to add money to wager which would make being banned a little less appealing.

I just feel like it would be cool to bet a couple dollars and win money based on you winning not some team you have no control over. Obviously if it has been done on other games it can be done on here this would also cause more people to add money to their steam wallets to be able to bet and more people being able to buy keys and skins etc...

Not only would it benefit us players it would benefit pretty much the whole community in retrospect giving valve more money(off of tax and wallet additions) it would cause teams to win more money at tourneys(considering more keys would be bought) and since betting on teams wont be as big it would lower the chance of match fixing and a reason to match fix.

Tl;DR? Add wager matches so we can bet on matches we play and win money/skins if we win.

Good Idea, I have also thought about this for a while. I myself have played COD wagers for around 2years now and it is a lot of fun. I play it on UMGGaming.com. However, UMG is the only website where you can play wagers, so therefore they take 20% of whatever you earn every time. If we could create the same concept for CSGO or other games which have a much larger fanbase compared to COD, there would be a lot of money involved.

and you would need a gambling licence and a way of making sure over 18 and whether the country allows etc etc....................why do you think the skin bettings sites mostly closed down?

Wagers do not go under the category ``Gambling`` in most countries. You are betting on your own skill, without any luck involved.
