This is the damage percentage. I don't know if I'm right, if anyone can correct me, pls do it. I think is that:
Factory New - 10% Damage.
Minimal Wear - 20% Damage.
Field-Tested - 30% Damage.
Well-Worn - 40% Damage.
Battle-Scarred - 50% Damage.
But none of that can be repair or more damage.
but whats the point of that, when the skin doesnt downgrade?
Factory New - 0.00-0.07 float
Minimal Wear - 0.071-0.15 float
Field Tested - 0.151-0.37 float
Well Worn - 0.371-0.45 float
Battle Scarred - 0.451-1.0 float
What that "float" means? There's anyway I can know the percentage with that float information?
float is a randomized value that is created when a weapon spawns (drop, case, whatever) and it defines how damaged the skin is. It's kinda like the IVs for Pokemon.
Cause players buy expesive skins, with StatTrak and Factory New. if the skins could downgrade the quality lose the value and no one would buy skins Factory New. It's just stupid, players want beatufull weapons to play with beatifull weapons...
This is Steam Community, people cares about player who have good questions to ask.
Again... GOOD questions to ask, not "Recieve 7 Days for unintentionally TK"
Float values determine the condition in-game of the skin. Field-tested skins have the largest float range, allowing skins in that category to vary with others more frequently. It adds a bit more value to csgo, but most casual players don't see it as a problem.
If you see a case where a certain factory new skin looks better than another of the same skin with the same condition, it's because one's float value is higher than the other's.
These float values do not change either. They are mostly a tool to use when trading.
