Trouble with the Deagle? Advice please?
I know that the Deagle has the potential to do 50 damage in one shot on a body shot. That's alot for a pistol, and people say it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥, but I don't want to dismiss it as ♥♥♥♥♥♥ so fast. I want to get good at this gun because it seems like a useful weapon when mastered.

I've been playing alot of Deathmatch recently, and I can't tell you how many times I've missed with this weapon...

And I know there's already someone typing up immediately how I can't aim or something, but...

Okay so I just left a game on Dust 2.

I bought the Deagle, I ran through long, and there was a CT sitting there, his back turned to me facing the bomb sight. So I stop moving, wait a whole 3 seconds, and then I take aim at his head and fire.

The bullet goes over his head.

My crosshair is dead on his head, and I am sitting completely still, yet the bullet goes OVER his head?

And then, I will be engaged in a shootout. I'm taking my time, waiting a modest 1-2 seconds between firing, and I will hit the person ONCE, but for the life of me, no matter how well I place my crosshair on them, it won't hit them a second time!

One time I was on Mirage and I ran around, and I snapped my crosshair to the side of someone's head, and this was like... WAY off of his head, and I fired, and it somehow hit his head....

So what the Hell?

TL;DR:
The Deagle's accuracy just feels so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weird is what I'm trying to say. And it's control is really really hard to do as well.

I can't tell if the Deagle sucks, or I suck with it, or both. It seems like a great weapon in the hands of a master, so I'm trying to get good at it but it's just so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous how hard this gun is to use. It feels sluggish as all Hell.

Help me Deagle masters :c

It sounds like you've just started to learn to deagle. No one has picked up something and instantly been a master at it. Give it practice.

As for accuracy, when you move watch the deagle's viewmodel in your peripheral vision. When it stops moving you're good to shoot again.

As for missing a shot it could just be a server thing. I get weird hitboxes ALL THE TIME. Just click on people's faces as best you can. The rest is up to Gaben.

Good luck I love this weapon.

If you want to get good with the Deagle, as the guy said above practice. Me, I been using the deagle for the longest time, and I've gotten to Gold Nova just using the Deagle. Paientice and Timing is the key with the Deagle, might as well call it an auto, and you know how much people love the auto.

Keep at the Deagle, and let the kids talk ♥♥♥♥, when you go and get an ace as the last man standing, people tend to stfu when you pull that off, trust me on that one.
Also does anyone know a way I can reliably hit targets better who are far away? They just seem like such a small target and I can't hit them, low sens or high sens be damned.

128-tick servers, play them.

+1, deagle is garbage on 64 tick.

Is there a way to prioritize that over 64 ticks? What about Comp?

For the deagle I would suggest 2 things.

1) When you think your feet are planted and crosshairs are set for an accurate shot, wait another 100th a second and then fire. It makes all the difference.

2) If you feel you need to take your shots in a rush I recommend aiming for the neck per se. Deagle has a lot of kick.

I love the deagle and highly recommend mastering. For me, headshots with a deagle are the most fulfilling in the game. Crazy powerful and crazy accurate at long range IF you can control your fire.

Try making yourself a small, static crosshair with no middle dot. I find myself getting much better headshots that way without the center dot to block their heads.

Already done that :/

One thing I've found useful is when I'm really close up, I just start spraying and I can usually kill the person really really fast, this is especially useful in the Dust 2 Long doors for me.

Sometimes I Juan Deag, sometimes I don't Juan Deag. It just depends on how good my aim is that day and who I'm matched up against.
