Trading knife for money via Paypal, scammer?
I posted my knife trade up on the CSGO Lounge and there was a person willing to buy my knife through Paypal. He added me and talk. He agreed that he will pay $65 for my knife via Paypal right after I send the knife to him. After I sent the knife, he mentioned that the money was sent, but I have to wait for 3 to 6 business days for the money to be transferred. But that's not the problem, after about 15 minutes, I was going to ask him for the email he used to send the money. That moment, he's offline and not in my friend list. I tried to add him back but steam said "Error adding friend. Please try again." Does that mean he blocked me?

I might have to wait 3 days and see if the money is in. However, I wanted some advice whether if I was cheated or not?

Any help would be appreciated :)

Sorry about my grammars

That scammer had it easy with you. Trusting stranger with paypal is a bad idea. Never do trades outside of Steam. I would suggest not to report that to Steam Support or you will get banned for breaking the Terms of Service.

Paypal send the money instantly. There is no need to wait 6 days. Easy but sadly scam. Try to contact the steam support maybe they can help you.

Just wow. Well you can't do anything now. He got your knife and you are done.

Through the process of trading this knife, I always felt insecure and did not wanted to do it because this is my first time trading item with money outside steam. But that guy sent many prove to me that he is a safe guy to trade with. Damn.....

What should I do?

You can't do anything but "not doing something like that again". As Feigte already said you can't expect any help from steam's support.

Learn the lesson from your mistake, not much that can be done at this point, you pretty much gifted it to him. I don't think anyone can help you at this point. Just read this, so you know what you should/shoudn't do in the future:

Even if he did send you the money, PayPal allows people to charge it back after a few days.

Can't trust PayPal.... ever.

Plus, you're not supposed to trade for money. Its a no-no for Steam.

Hypothetically though, in the future, you'd be smarter to ask for BitCoin payment.

You know all those buttons you clicked to confirm that you weren't receiving or expecting anything in return and that the knife was a gift?

Yeah, those words actually meant the things that they said.

I will try to accept my mistake.
