I have one named "Incoming Contraband". I've already owned the Griffin when it was the ORIGINAL one. and I've had the old howl in my hands before. I personally liked what Valve did to the Howl, but the Griffin is just nasty. We'll see what the Dragon King looks like.
The Howl became Contraband, a mistake on Valve's part, a mistake they don't want to repeat. (They DON'T want items to be contraband). Secondly, the howl was a Covert skin, meaning MUCH LESS of them were unboxed, thus making the price even higher.
Not to mention the Dragon King is a medicore skin with too much going on. Pretty ugly.
I can agree partly only because it is true but relize because the Trading Community for "Contraband" items will be outrageous it would be like the StatTrak M4A4 | Griffin (FN) being like $230+USD for a whole week.
There are THOUSANDS of Griffins out there, the price EVEN WITH CONTRABAND RARITY would still be a low price.
The Dragon King will never become contraband because there's no issues with it whatsoever. Anyone saying otherwise is an idiot.
With the Griffin, notice how Valve didn't make it Contraband, but instead just changed the skin? It'll be the same thing with any other skin issue that comes along. Valve knows making a new rarity was a mistake.
Think about it, the Howl and the Griffin got a Copyright Claim on them. Odd because Copyright claims only happened to those specific M4A4 skins. Also Valve should add more contraband weapons so prices of the contraband weapons go down and people are not wasting even more money.
It doesn't matter what the skin was, they had legitimate infringements... That's all that matters.
Valve won't add more contraband skins, nor "should they". Implying that they should is ridiculous...
Valve doesn't have any say in the prices of the skins, that's up to the people putting them on the market.
Valve changed the skin on the Howl also. I agree strongly making a new rarity is not smart and that having to remove the skins from the game (Back when the Howl was around) they should've done what they did with the Griffin way back.
Now looking at the dragon king, I don't see why it would go contraband. But, it was made from someone off of workshop. That's my reason it would go contraband.
This I can agree on.
I don't get why "it was made from someone off of workshop" would mean ANYTHING negative. Legitimate artists and skilled users would be CRAZY not to use the workshop and upload their work. If they're picked they could be making some SERIOUS bank. Thousands upon thousands and thousands of dollars.
I meant by the time the Griffins were about that much.
