Stuck at silver 1 after multiple 5-10 winning streaks
So I've been silver 1 for a long time and i have 42 competitive wins and have gotten like 4 5 game winning streaks and one 10 game streak and have only been beaten by a lower rank team like once or twice but i haven't ranked up from silver 1. Also i was playing against silver 4 players sometimes when i was unranked. Does anyone have any idea why I'm stuck here and how to fix it.

How to fix it?
Don't give away so many rounds when you lose & play the objective, not your KD

Yes, it's that simple.

i dont play my kd and all my losses are close

the streaks are win streaks not kills

So show us a screenshot of your recent matches.
I'm certain you've lost more matches / played worse than you might think.

all i know is that i top/second score over half of them and win long streaks and dont lose to many low rank teams. when i do lose im still top scoring by a lot and people say it is based on the elo system which means only rounds/matches are factored. Even if personal proformance is factored i still top preforma and get an average of 1/3 of the MVPs on my team.

So make a screenshot of your past games and show us?

it's rounds won/ rounds lost, even if you're going on win streaks, most of the games you've won are close (ex:12,13,14-16).
JBTree 2015 年 1 月 24 日 上午 11:16
only the losses have been close. the wins are almost always 16 to <10. anyway i was asking not becasue i dont kno how to rank up. i was asking because many people have this problem and some people say there is a glitch that does this so i was wondering if there was any info on that. and before you ask, no it isnt happening to them too, they were ranking fine.

You probably lost all of your starting games including your 10 matchmaking placement games, now your win streaks are recovering your points from minus to 0 in your current league, once they reach 0 again, you will need to get a small win streak to reach the point requirement for promotion to Silver 2, your win streaks mean nothing unless they're clean win streaks (no prior losses) remember, it's round based so, if you win games 16:14 and lose games 0:16 you're going to lose points not gain them I highly doubt you won 30 of your 42 games without any sign of promotion given you're silver 1 it's highly likely you lost alot of games before those win streaks.

thank you for your input and you are right about me exagerating i didnt mean literally 10 streak but it was 6 or more and i probobly had 2-3 five streaks but the peoint is still made.
you are probobly right because i had a losing streak where i got stuc with some scrubs in my unranked days toward the end and i probobly need to bounce back but i am on my way up based on that. Thank you for your input.

Yeh the problem is that this ranking system takes away points and gives points depending per round meaning that ideally, to get promoted from a 3-5 win streak, you must

1) Not lost 2+ games before.
2) Be top fragging with 40+ kills and few deaths (to top frag all rounds with money)
3) Be placed against opponents that are better then you (on paper)

CS:GO is a strange game, it's not about if you win it's about who you happen to win against, if you win against someone you're expected to beat, you will gain a small amount of points, meaning you might need 6-10 wins with 1-2 losses before hand.

the problem seems to me that,

If you win 5 games against opponents you're expected to beat you gain lets say, 10 ELO (pretend)

If you lose 1 game against a team you're expected to beat in a very bad way, you would lose say 7-12 ELO (idk) thats how it seems to me.

My opinion would be that you're beating people you're expected to beat and you're losing to a team you're expected to beat and this is almost resetting every win you obtain to nothing, hence eliminating the profit of win streak promotions, but my advise is don't care about your rank at silver, the only way I went from S1 to SEM within 1 week without really improving too much in the game was just playing with a casual mind but a competitive hand, then the promotions just rolled in without me noticing, also if you see someone playing good on your team or the enemy team, go to your recent player list and add them on steam and try to lobby queue with them, aslong as you wasn't a trash player they will happily play with you as the more pre-teamwork the more chance of winning, plus you make friends over time and then you have people to lobby with at all times of the day this vastly improved my rank also.

For some reason, I ranked up super fast from no rank to silver 4. I was on a heavy win streak, some of them to be honest where close wins though.
PPeterr 2016 年 7 月 23 日 下午 7:45
I have 36 Comp wins and SEM.

You also need to have a good kill/damage contribution per round and MVP's. I remember winning 80% of the games in SMFC and it still took me like 2 months to get to GE.
