Mine doesn't have it.
I haven't really paid attention to anything looking a lot sharper, I might have to hook up my old one to compare them.
Do you have the same issue when putting it on 60 hertz as well?
I saw a few softwares that reduces the blur, but I thought that was one of the main features of a 144Hz monitor. I tried with that soft but I couldn't get it work, dunno why.
Thanks anyway.
Edit: some Asus models got an overdrive function btw.. But your issue seems to be more some post processing?
Overdrive function? Couldn't find it. ASUS forums sucks, no one answer. Didn't even try with support.
First of all; if you haven't installed the G-sync board then dont use any type of V-Sync! It will create an awful amount of input lag!
Now to the actual problem, When you are using the monitor and standing still in like CS:GO the textures looks smooth right?, and when you are moving they are starting to look very sharp!
The FIX: Go into the monitor menu and go into IMAGE, Sharpness: (Depends on what you like) 40-60!, And then to the magic, TRACE-FREE NEEDS to be set to NO MORE than 80!, At 100 the weird sharpening effects uccur, at 80 its perfect, lower than that and you will begin to witness a lot of motion blur!
And also, dont use the Light boost thing from blur busters, i've heard people that use it alot starting to have problems with their monitor and gpu's. And you will also only get 60Hz since 50% of the frames will be black. It doesent improve motion blur too much if you set up the monitor right and i rather have 144 visible frames per second than 60Visible and 60 black frames.. (Or 143.9something something frames and 59.97something something frames if you're picky)
Second of all: You can't use lightboost with 144hz.
So it's better to disable those for CS.
Sure, AA is taxing and can lower FPS by quite a bit, but i have never ever heard of AA causing any kind of input lag like V-Sync does.
Edit: I'm not including the sad excuses called post-processing AA. (a.k.a. FXAA, MLAA, etc.)
I can see how post-processing can add a miniscule amount of input lag.
