Can I gift skins and guns to my friend.

One of my friends who is an avid counter strike player wants some silly skins as his birthday gift. I don't play Counter Strike Golbal Offensive, so I am not familiar with all this stuff. When I went to the community market I searched for skins but there is no option to gift them like traditional games. Does anyone know how do I gift such items.

You purchase them, then you need to trade them with him. He has to accept them from his account (you can trade them for nothing). Only alternative is giving him Steam Gift Card so he can use the money to purchase the skins himself.

Buy the skins yourself on the market and send him a trade offer.
Just send him the skins and don't include anything from him.
It will tell you that you're gifting it.

Yes, buy the skin first, wait a week till its tradable. Go to your friends profile, click "offer a trade" in the "more" button next to the send message / add friend button. Add your item and click confirm. You will have to wait 15 days for the item to get into your friends inventory if you do not have steam mobile authentication.
