TradeUp Contract Math
:csgoglobe:Alright, I was bored, tired and sick when I wrote this. I was also procrastinating, so forgive me for any errors, also give me more ideas if you want to see more of these.

Okay, so I was wondering, how many guns would it take to trade up from consumer to the a covert weapon, now after going over simple math and two diffrent diagrams, it would be 10,000 consumer grade weapons. Now that is pretty easy to get around using this (lets say r=red, p=pink, pr=purple, b=blue, lb=light blue, and c=equals consumer or no color at all); everyone knows that to trade up you need ten guns, this one 1lb=10c, so we are at ten consumer grade weapons. Then 1b=10lb, which means that 10lb=100c, thus equalling 100c. So from this point it is pretty clear (I hope), from which I got 10,000 consumer grade skins to equal one covert.

I wanted to take it a step further however, I want to see the cost to get a covert, I went on to the market and found the 10,000 cheapest consumer grade skins. I found that that the median price (middle price) for them was $0.05. This took a lot of work for not much effort, from this we can just multiple .05*10000, which equals $500 USD.

Being me I couldn't stop there, I thought to my self, what is the classic CS:GO skin, the most elusive (besides a knife of course (for anyone saying why not, because you can't get knives by trading up) and the most impressive. Now, I know it isn't the best choice because I am biased, and well I personally always wanted one just to have, I decided on the M4A4 Asimov, because it was the first gun I picked up when I started CS:GO. Long story short, I went into a Comp. server and a person with no rank, spawned in a whole bunch of weapon skins and that was the one I picked up, d*** hackers. So it is really close in my heart, but anyway, here is the math.

Last I checked the Asimov was $72.96 USD, so unless you have someone donate 85% of your skins, on a perfect basis, it really isn't worth it. Here we go anyway, we take what we already know $500 USD for your consumer guns, give or take a couple dollars, the only problem with this is that there are no Winter Offensive consumer grade guns. So we will have to improvise, we will say that the only consumer grade gun in the winter offensive is the P250 sand dune, which the median price is around $10 USD, which is at 7,200 of the weapons needed, then we have to add the 2,800 above that equating, using some functions around $2500 USD needed to trade up to the M4A4 Asimov. Now this is hardly worth it, but as I said if someone donated a certian amount of that skin you could do it. Last thing, you have a 50% chance to actually get the Asimov, now, don't get me wrong, My Sawn-Off Kraken with StatTrak is my favorite gun, because it is the first Covert that I got by opening cases, and because it looks baller, but your Odds would never be worth it unless you paid less the $3.00 USD (Kraken price?).

Thanks for reading this hope you enjoyed it, if you want me to keep going with these send it to your friends, message me on steam, maybe donate a couple of skins, I don't know. I just hope you found this as enjoying as I did.:csgoglobe:

The only tradeups I did were 3 cent consumer grades that yielded 30 cent skins... I pitty the fool that blindly trades up.

BUMP^
1000 blues = 100 purples = 10 pinks = 1 red

That's pretty bad, 1000 guns that are at cheapest, .06 cents, and then the off chance that the red is garbage, like an M4 Desert Strike, or an Aug Chameleon. You would lose a considerable amount of money.

Say that you bought 1000 blues for five cent each thats like 50 euro
Trade the all up to 100 purples some of which may be worth money so keep them to the side
depending on your luck you make between 10-30 euro and what you use to trade up to pinks is the jank
you may also make some money off the pinks depending on your luck at least this way you have options on how to go about what you do unlike buying 50 euro worth
of cases and keys which youll probably only get blues anyway lmao
